Kitchen Sink --- can you pick the flavors of ice cream?

Interesting question... many, many, many, many years ago, back when I was in high school - wayyyyy Epcot, Beach Club, Beaches & Cream - there was a place up here where you could get a Kitchen Sink. Now, unlike Disney, it didn't come in a replica of a sink but... one night, four of us left a party, drove over there, ordered one, ate as much as we could, brought the rest back to the party - and it STILL never got finished!

Ah, that brings back the memories. In my long ago high school days, there was an ice cream place we used to go to where they made the ice cream on site (in view of the customers, through a plate glass window). They didn't specialize in having tons of flavors out on any given day (maybe a dozen standards plus a few that were rotated among another couple dozen flavors), but they did have an amazing variety of floats, sundaes, and the like.

The biggest one comprised a full half gallon of ice cream, along with lots of whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and other toppings. I was a pretty skinny guy, but like most teenaged boys, I could really pack the food away. I ordered that thing, then sat there and ate every last bite of it! I enjoyed every mouth full.

Of course, these days that'd add a lot of inches to my waist, but back then it was no problem! Oh, how I miss those days. :goodvibes

I'm thinking getting some friends together and getting the kitchen sink for my birthday in October this year. I've lived in FL for 5 years and have never done it!

There is also something similar to this (not quite as big) at Typhoon Lagoon. It is served in a sand pail. Perfect for cooling off!;)
