Please forgive me if this has already been posted...has anyone ever had the Kitchen sink ice cream at Beaches and cream? How many scoops of ice cream are actually in it? We thought it would be alot of fun to take my dd for her 8th b-day. Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!!

I'm not sure exactly how many scoops are in it - but there is a whole can of whipped cream!!! Its huge, and would feed 3 - 4 adults but is alot of fun and def worth a shot at!!!

It's eight scoops of ice cream.. but they're really big scoops. Generous amounts of all the toppings and a whole can of whip cream. It's yummy =]

Kitchen Sink - scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee and mint chocolate chip, smothered in every topping they have

It's huge and lots of fun to share!!!

We saw a family get one last Nov and it was too funny
The dimmed the lights and had spotlights on them
and "introduced" the kitchen sink when it came out :lmao:

IMO, that's way too much 'stuff" on my ice cream
We love the No Way Jose at Beaches and Cream
My DS8 and I can polish that one off ourselves :goodvibes
Lots of choc. ice cream, peanut butter sauce, choclate sauce, whipped cream,
choc. chips and peanut butter chips, it's sooooooo good

i heard about that. I am hoping we get it, but never had it. i heard really good reviewa, though.

What ice cream can you get for dessert on the dining plan? Can every person in your party get their own No Way Jose or do you have to share?

IMHO and not to offend anyone, it kind of grosses me out! But keep in mind I am the person who can't have food touch and I eat all of one thing before I move on to the next... :goodvibes

But No Way Jose!! It's just one of those things that once you have some, you nod your head and think "Life is good!"

fer shur, no way, i dont even drink after immediate family members let alone eat out of the same bowl. yuk

I am a junk food junkie, however, the kitchen sink looks like too much - even for me! :rotfl: However, I would love to see someone else eat it.

Now the No Way Jose looks like a great one to share. Is that on the dining plan under CS or snack? No sweat if it isn't - was just curious!

oh don't worry about eating the whole thing, that's not the point.
The point is to have fun trying.
If it sounds good, do it. You'll get your money's worth.

Actually, I think it's quite a bargain. It's only $21, and if you even have 3 people "try", that comes out to $7 a person, which is about what each of those sundaes cost anyway, so that's not bad. Plus, you get a "show" out of it, and good memories, and GREAT photo ops. Sounds like great fun for a group, even though it's probably NOT something you could finish.

Good point. We may have do get it just to say that we have done it!:thumbsup2

We have done it twice. Each time there were four sharing the kitchen sink. Never did we get close to finishing it. Besides ice cream there's chocolate bars, angel food cake, brownies, fruit, whipping cream, etc etc.

It is kind of gross if you think about it, but the kids (all teenagers) just loved it. Just watching them eat it, I ordered a plate of onion rings to combat the sugar overload.

Like a PP said, if it looks good to you...order it...it's a lot of fun...

and don't even think of finishing, that will just put pressure on you and you'll miss the fun.

They give you bowls to serve it in so you don't have to all eat of the big bowl ... it's just more fun that way!

I am surprising my family with this after we see Cirque one evening. I am just going to have DH drive us over to Beaches & Cream and I'm going to order it for the 6 of us. :goodvibes

We had one last year for the first time. It was me, DH, DD and DD bestfriend. We had so much fun just watching them make it. They let DD take pictures while they were making it. And some of the toppings we had them put on the side since some of us didn't want them on the sundae. I didn't think that DD bestfriend would be into share our ice cream, but I think she dug in the most and ate the most too!!!! I understand some people preferances not to share food or have one item touch another, but to each his own. We had so much fun eating it, I'm glad we finally did it!!! If you don't get grossed out by sharing food with someone, it's worth it!!

the kitchen sink is really cool to watch them assemble and announce but it's not my cup of tea, it doesn't really appeal to have everything all mixed together. Now...the No Way Jose, definitely my cup of tea, my ds and I had it twice in one week, we're chocolate & peanut butter people :) Shall we reminsce?

note the look of pure delight on my ds's face, hello it looks bigger than his HEAD lol

Ok, this looks like A MUST DO with my Father in Law the ice cream maniac.
Do I need to make an advanced dining reservation or is it a walk-in kind of place?
We are staying at Shades of Green, which is by the Polynesian, is this far away? We are doing Downtown Disney one day ... maybe we could fit in it in that day?

It's a must do every time we go to Disney world.
It's so much fun; they put candy and brownie in it too.
