Does anyone know if we will be able to get a kitchen sink dessert that would be safe for my dd who has a peanut allergy? This dessert is really our only reason for visiting this restaurant. Thanks!:surfweb:

It might depend on the level of the allergy and how comfortable you are being in an environment where there are lots of peanut products. I have a peanut allergy but I have to actually consume peanuts in order to have a reaction (as opposed to touching something or inhaling peanut dust). Beaches and Cream is really small. You'd probably want to go during an off time and then talk to a manager. They are really good at all the ice cream places about opening a new container and using a clean spoon, but it really depends on your comfort level.

My DD has severe nut allergies and we always go to Beaches and Cream. We have ordered the kitchen sink but it required a lot of substitutions. They brought us out an ingredient list for all the products used in the sink. They are excellent about opening a new container of ice cream and using a clean scoop. We have been going there for about 9 years and have never had a problem. But it all depends on your comfort level. My DD has to actually consume the nut in order to have an anaphylactic reaction (although just the smell makes her nauseated.) While she has had many reactions due to cross contamination, thankfully none of them have happened at Disney.

Thank you for the responses! I may try it and tell them to be extra careful!!
