I liked it more than I thought I would!

Funny thing is, I can't find anything about it on Hershey's website! :confused3

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, Kit Kats and Mocha - my 2 favorite things!!!! Please share the details, I do not think we have these in Canada yet!!! :sunny:

I can't describe it other than to say it has a coffee/mocha flavor, it's good!

That sounds heavenly. I will have to look for those at the store today!

Blondie, I see that you live in Virginia, too. I live near a Hershey's plant. We got a chance to try the new mocha Kit Kat as well as an espresso Special Dark Chocolate bar. I think they were available only for a short period of time and only for those us near a Hershey's facility. The mocha Kit Kat was wonderful! The espresso bar was very intense if you like dark chocolate. I have looked for both subsequently but haven't been able to find them.

Ive found them at the Dollar Store and the liquidators

I loved them too I wish they had stuck around longer they were yummy!

DH loved them. They reminded him of Coffee Crisp bars which he used to get in Canada. He can't wait to head to Canada in Epcot and stock up on his favorite Canadian candies. :)

yep that is why I like them too

when my stash runs out ( My inlaws bring me down enough for months at a time thankfully) I know I can shop here

Shipping is high but worth it if youre really having a craving and is cheaper than a trip to WDW ;)

is your DH Canadian too?

Yeap, he is from Coaldale small town close to Lethbridge, Alberta. Not too far from you guys. :)

Did I know that and just spaced it? LOL

Hard to tell these days. Sorry.

DH is from Calgary. I have a good idea where Coaldale is, BIL went to school in Lethbridge.

oh sure now you have me craving them I went out and got a coffee crisp and found I have 3 more left in my stash. DANG! That has to last me till Christmas

:rolleyes1

ETA: ohhh I just saw that they now have Tim's coffee on that site!

Wow, it's a small world! :) We lived in Calgary while DH was in school when we were first married. MIL is trying to get us to move back since the province has such a great economy right now. We haven't been to visit in a few years but we are planning to head up for Christmas. I can't even imagine how much Calgary has grown in the last few years.

That is really interesting! I had no idea that you did not get all of those foods in the states! One thing we noticed during our trip to Disneyland, was that we couldn't find any Salt and Vinegar chips in the stores (they are my kids' favorite!) :)

You wont recognize it at all I barely did. The C Train goes to Dalhousie now and soon will go all the way to Crowfoot! The city itself goes almost to Cochrane according to my MIL.

The NW isnt even close to looking the same! They have built all around Nosehill ( not on it of course) but way North of it.

We havent been back in about 3 years since GFIL passed on. I think we will go back next year for vacation. The plan is to go to Victoria and then take the 1A all the way from Van to Calgary.

We lived there in 94-96 When were you there? What part of town did you live in? Obviously we were mainly in the NW Ranchlands and such.

ETA: check out this map: http://ca.maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?csz=Alberta&country=ca See Bears Paw? Thats what blew me away. Who would have thought Bears Paw would be a suburb almost? LOL

Some of that stuff you can get in the US but sometimes it is different. Like Corn Pops. Corn Pops down here are like a spongy odd shaped corn pop. Up there they are like a yellow cocoa puff. Round and hard. I have no idea why they do that.

Chips Ahoy down here are Nabisco not Christie.

You can get them they just arent any good ;) LOL Not like Old Dutch.
We have a list of things that the ILs have to bring down every time they visit and there is a list of things we need to take to them when we visit. Its pretty funny to cross the border and say to immigration" yes Im going to claim 5 boxes of Old DUtch Salt and Vinegar and 6 multi packs of Nestle chocolates and Kubasa and..." Funny how quickly they wave you through! :)

I saw Heinz came out with Ketchup chips here. BLECH. I have to go in the other room whenever dh eats them. They make me sick to my stomach. The guy at the desk next to mine when I was PG ate them every day and I just cant get over that LOL.

Hahaha I just noticed they have Thrills gum on that site. Man, that stuff is so gross. LOL

Really?! Wow! I had no idea. One brand of cookies that I love that I have not been able to find up here are Keebler cookies. :lovestruc

That is so funny!!! It reminds me of when we came back from Disneyland and the customs officers asked my FIL if he had anything to declare, and my FIL said, "Why yes, I have a Pirate do-rag, a Pirate CD, a Pirate t-shirt......" the officer was like :sad2: "Move along, buddy, move along..." :rotfl:

LOL!

The first time I went to meet (now) dh I went through our "usual" border crossing that we used to go to another friends house. The Customs officer asked what our purpose of coming to Canada was I said " we're going to Flames/Sharks game" he said "You mean tonights Game??!!! Sh** girl! Get your (butt) on the road youre going to be late!" and then he stammerred and said as we pulled away " but ummm no speeding or anything ya' hear?" :rotfl: :rotfl:

My dad used to have the speil every time he went through it went something like " Im declaring a Canadian Readers Digest, I prefer the artciles to the American one and a bag of chips, and a few candy bars and a newspaper and...." by this time the guy was just rolling his eyes and waving him through. As we would pull out my dad would always say " and 20 cubans, and some alchohol and..." Joking of course but it was funny.

Gone are the days the would just look at my dads "clergy" sticker on the front and they wouldnt even stop him.
