Kissing engagement pictures

I love this picture:

And this picture is cute, but doesn't make me as happy:

I am making an engagement party invitatons (postcards) for my mother and father (they're throwing a party for). Since my only duty is to design the invitations and get them sent to my moms house, I want to make sure to pick one that's fitting. This is mostly for our families and wedding party to get to know one another. Of our 130 invited guests, we're only inviting 40-50.

My friends and bridesmaids all like the kissing one. I was just making sure that it wasn't offensive.

Should I just use the other one, even though I don't like it as much?

I say use the kissing pic. Its really sweet and not offensive at all

I like the second one. If you can adjust the words on it to show your ring it would be even better! I like that you can see your faces fully in the second one and while the first one isn't "offensive" you know some people will not like that type of photo (there is always one in the crowd! lol). Congratulations and enjoy the planning and your day. I did wedding photography for years and best advice I can give you is to try to relax and have fun. You'll obsess over details but honestly no one but you will know what it was "really" supposed to be like and that the red of the roses isn't the red you picked, etc. etc etc. Two things matter....you and him, period! I like the kissing one!! Super adorable! I don't think people would be offended....most people expect to see lovey-dovey engagement and wedding pictures! Either one is great though--do whatever you're most comfortable with.

I vote for the kissing picture it's adorable! I love that you can see the just engaged pins and you can tell you guys are so happy! The second one is also cute because of your ears but I would go with the first one.

But I would probably choose the second picture for an invitation if it was the only photo that was going on it.

If it is for only family and close friends, I still think it is fine. If you are worried, run it past your mom and tell her that the wedding party all think the kissing picture is adorable not to mention most of the disbrides here who've answered

The kissing picture is cute but I prefer the engagement photos where couples are looking at each other sweetly. It gets the point across without being TMI.

Well since it was 9/10 I got it made with the kissy one. I was worried it was TMI but most people seemed to think it was okay. Josh and I aren't very photogenic/serious people. Any of the ones where we were told to "gaze sweetly" at each other would wind up with one of us giggling or squinting or making a face.

It's Disney's PhotoPass pictures It was one of the choices as a border on the pictures, I put it on every single picture we had taken along with the B&W version of every picture. I decided when I was ordering my CD that if I was going to pay $130 bucks, it was going to be worth my while.
