When we drove that route we did Dallas to Birmingham, AL. The I-10 was closed though. From Kissimmee to Alexandria you are looking at at last 14 hours provided you hit zero traffic which is unlikely considering Baton Rouge has the 1-10 under conduction and the 12 gets backed up as well. I am not sure the route you plan on taking to Monroe. Baton Rouge, La or Jackson, MS might be a better stopping place if you plan on going to the I-20. Just a warning on Alexandria, the on ramps are very confusing to get back on the 49 in some locations. I wish I could remember the road we took to cut down AL to FL. I believe we got on the 10 in or around Crestview, FL. Approx 57 miles past the AL/FLstate line. From there you have 250 miles on the 10 before you get to I-75. Hope this helps.
