We have reservations at Silver Lake for next week, arriving on this Saturday (October 2). Any reports of damage from that area yet? I know it's still relatively early on Monday....I'm sure as the day goes on I'll have an easier time finding more info. I need to call the property directly, but I'm definitely waiting until tomorrow to do that....

I guess I'm looking for some sort of info that tells me whether or not we should still plan on making the trip. Having been through a "weather event" earlier in the summer, I understand what it's like to have sightsee-ers driving by...getting in the way. I would hate to be in that position. On the other hand, I know how desperately FL needs the tourism dollars as well. I just don't want to be in the way of any cleanup that needs to take place.

thanks!

go

on rci list silver lake is not listed - either 2610 or 6815 (the codes RCI uses)

this list is resorts that are closed.

thanks!!

I've been checking the TUG boards, but hadn't seen much...I was hopeful that all is well!

I would suggest calling. Kissimmee was hit hard again by the latest hurricane.

thanks, Safetymom. I did call yesterday afternoon. Silver Lake didn't have any damage, but the pool was closed for a few days. The Customer Service gal wasn't sure why. She told me to come on down, everything's fine there.

I just read that you had some damage at your house, I'm so sorry :(
