Hi all:wave:

I've managed to book a mine train FP for 8-9pm, on a night when MK closes at 9pm, so I'm really hoping my boys will last long enough so that I can hear the Kiss Goodnight:thumbsup2

Does anyone know what time that will be if the park closes at 9pm?:confused3

Do you have any tips on how to wait it out? My boys aren't very good at just sitting and waiting when they are tired (especially when it's not for a ride or if they don't really know what they are waiting for). ;)

Many thanks for any info:thumbsup2

What is the kiss goodnight? I have been to Disney every year for a long time and have never heard of this??? :confused3

It is a little announcement over the PA system that "wraps up" the day at Magic Kingdom. It is very nice and a beautiful way to end the day. I think it's like 5 minutes long.

I saw this for the first time a few weeks ago. I asked a photographer on main street if something happens 30 minutes after close (this was about 25 minutes after) and he told me no... I decided to wait anyway. Does Disney tell CMs to lie about this so that people don't stick around to see it, or so it remains relatively secretive?

Interesting...We've been in MK several times until the end of the night and I've never noticed this. Is it not broadcasted over the entire park? Or maybe I just block it out. lol

I'm betting most of the CM's don't really consider it to be "something". It's a way of telling people the park is closed and it's time to go home. When I was working at DHS, I had a guest ask me what time the park closed that night. I replied "8:00". Then they asked me what time it was and I responded with "8:30". They then asked me what else they could do in the park.:confused3 I mean, it's closed. You can't ride anything. You can't eat anywhere. There's not going to be a parade of some streetmosphere characters come out. You can probably get into a shop but really, most of us are closing up and wanting to get home - many to families. The end of the night announcement isn't really something I would have considered to be something to stick around for. I guess since they light up the castle, it's a bit different for some, but I'm betting most CM's just really think of it as a goodbye announcement rather than some sort of show that people will wait around for like Wishes.

I think of it more like an easter egg, and also one last chance to soak up a bit of the magic.

I think if he told you, he would have had to kill you. ;)

It's something you can schedule on MDE now though!
