Kingstown Reef Timeshare tour??

Has anyone been to this presentation? We are doing it in January as a place to stay and $ 100 disney dollars. I'm curious as to how intense it is . We won't buy (no $$), but I hate it when they try to make you feel so guilty. Any thoughts?

I haven't been to this particular timeshare property so cannot comment on it. Most of them are pretty hardsell. Be certain of your resolve not to sign anything that day and not to buy anything that day. Remember that resales on good timeshares will save you a lot of money, if you really love a place (regardless of what they tell you). They usually reduce their price as you say no, so even if you want a place, don't buy right away. At the least, wait until you've had time to think it over and do a bit of research. The Orlando area is truly filled with exceptionally nice timeshare resorts.

Sharona77, make sure that you will be lodging at the actual resort, if that is your desire. Most tour deals provide lodging at an area hotel. If you want to stay at the resort itself, they normally charge an upgrade fee.

mcdrinkyd, the promotional deals offered by Fairfield (where we own) to Fairfield owners (or their guests) usually include lodging for 2-7 nights, 2 free one-day tickets to your choice of local theme parks, attractions or dinner shows (or sometimes, equivalent cash) and a discount booklet for local shops & restaurants. Other timeshare resort companies offer similar deals through their owner referral programs or through their wholesale outlets (some are online). If you are interested in the Fairfield properties, feel free to email me for a referral. But again, I warn you that they can be pretty hardsell at times. Figure that at least two hours of your vacation time will be spent with commissioned salespeople. It's not for the people-pleaser, easy spender or tender-hearted.

All that said, we really do enjoy our timeshares. We've been through those sales tours and did fine, didn't buy at the tours. Timeshare really can be a lot of fun for families!

We paid for a "discounted" vacation where it costs us about $50 a night for 4 nights with discounts in their restaurants, and I think free breakfast each day.. We had our choice of $100 disney dollars, or 2- 2day passes to Universal. We are staying in a one bedroom townhouse with complete kitchen, etc.

We don't have any extra money right now- we are having to scrape for the trip to begin with, so we aren't too worried about the hardsell part. We did this once before without too much trouble.

Can't wait to go, what with it being 34 here today!!!!!!!!!!
