hi all

I bought a large Kingston 1GB SD card for my Canon A620.
It was $70 CAD onsale for $50CAD plus a $25 mail in rebate form (something like that) Basically I paid $25 :cool1:

Now here is my question: is it worth keeping? I am new to the world of digital cameras, and have no idea if this is a good quality card or not?

:confused3

1GB plus i have a 512 so I should have lots of space for disney.

anyway do i keep it? thanks!

Kingston are among the world's best manufacturers of memory - i personally prefer it as a brand to any other (ok, i like sandisk as well), and am currently using a 'fleet' of 1Gb Kingston SD cards for my Panasonic DMC-LS2 with no problems at all.

Kingston is the most reliable, but if you need speed (which you don't, you're using a point and shoot) Sandisk is the answer.

thanks so much!!!

and Kelly Grannell: about speed....does this affect the supposed 'faster speed' of the digic 2 processor (or soemthing) that is in my camera?

Will I be able to get good night time shots? fireworks?

no, it will not affect your DIGIC II chip, that's the DSP engine for your camera. Like Panasonic with their so-called Venus Engine.

You'll need fast card when you're doing burst mode (multiple frames per second) or movies (30 fps).
