We are planning a small trip to Kings Island in June. Any suggestions on a nice hotel near by? or any other comments? I know they will be opening a section called Nick Universe for kids. We live in Pittsburgh so it will be cheaper then going to the NICK hotel in Orlando :goodvibes (which my 5 yr old DS pointed out from a commercial). Of course I directed him to the info about the new kids section at Kings Island. He loves Scooby too and I know Scooby is there too.

We have been there a few times and my kids LOVE it! In fact we almost went back this year but decided to go to US/IOA. You are in for a fun time. The Water park is included and it's really nice. There are lots of Nick characters to meet like sponge Bob and Jimmy Nutron. And scooby has an awsome ride and also comes out for photo ops. I hate to say it but I can't remember the name of the extended stay place we stayed at but it had two bedrooms and kitchen living dinning area. It was pretty nice. We have also stayed at the best western and it wasn't bad and they give you a pretty nice breakfast. Hope you really enjoy your vacation!

Not too many bad hotel choices in the area-and much cheaper than around other amusement parks. There are both Amerisuites and Comfort Suites in the area-along with most other chain hotels-some even have 2 locations close to Kings Island. Outside of Disney-we think this is the best theme park around (better than Cedar Point).

Don't stay at the King's Island Inn. The place was a dump and expensive at that. The only good thing was the free bus to the park.
