I realize this is probably a stretch but.....does anyone here play the game series Kingdom Hearts? I'm surprised I haven't seen any topics about it considering the games have just about every mainstream Disney character you could possibly think of. In my opinion, the game is targeted more towards players over 18 just because of the level of difficulty. (It gets hard at times.)

I just finished the first one again last night. I love this game.

For me....
-Fighting Malifocent
-Being swallowed by a whale to meet Pinocchio
-Being attacked by the Cave of Wonders
-Spinning around on one of Oogie Boogie's giant roulette wheels
-Getting scorched by Hades
-Being taunted by the Cheshire Cat

=FUN!

I have it, and the sequel, but I haven't gotten to play them too much. I do like running into Disney characters along the way. And you are quite right, the game is very challenging. I seem to remember that we were playing some sort of underwater volleyball/water polo type game that was kicking my butt when I last gave it a try.

Are you sure you weren't playing Final Fantasy X? ;) That game has an underwater game called Blitz Ball that is ridiculously challenging in my opinion. I love both of these games.

It also seems that the more the story progresses in the Kingdom Hearts series, the darker they become. The previews I've seen for the third, and I believe final, game look very dark and not very "Disney-esque". Although King Mickey was in the one I saw. :lmao:

I don't think that I even own a Final Fantasy game. I do love RPG's though. I have been into the Shining Force game on my PS2 more than anything, but I find myself lost in the DIS more than lost in the PS2 games. Without having a trip to plan for 2009, that will probably change after our vacation in December.

My partner loves video games. Whether they are online games like WOW and Everquest or console games like Final Fantasy, Pokemon, etc.

He loved the first Kingdom Hearts, but the second one he didn't like at all, unfortunately. Me on the other hand, I'm more of a websurfer outside all my volunteer/work/friend activities, but I love watching the Final Fantasy series.

I cannot wait until the next FF comes out for the PS3. We bought the PS3 two weeks ago just for Gran Turismo Prologue (for me), so right now, its just sitting there until a new game comes out he wants to play on it. We also have the Wii which he plays Pokemon on right now (plus Zelda and Wii Sports).

I love that game!
The second one isn't as good, but I love the first.

Hmmmm......I don't recall any type of water polo/vollyball game in Kingdom Hearts. Unless I'm just having a case of brain-no-more.....which happens frequently.

The Final Fantasy series always has great storylines. I'll admit it.....I've cried at a couple of them. :sad2: Don't tell anyone.

I tried my best to like the second one, but just didn't get into the story nearly as much. Although I will admit that there were several design aspects of the second one that I though were genius. (One of my favorite moments was when everything goes black-and-white, and everything looks like the you're in the Steamboat Willie cartoon.....even your character. Loved it.

Haha I love this game. Maleficent and Cheshire Cat are my favorites :)

I also read the book Kingdom Keepers. (It has Maleficent and VMK in it)

Hey there, MonorailMan! I've played both KH and KH2 to conclusion several times (each) and loved them both. KH was the reason we bought a PS2 a few years ago.

DH has played them both to a good extent, but not as much as I have. He absolutely loved the Tarzan sequence (wonder why), and his favourite part was when Tarzan pointed to his own pecs and grunted "friends" in response to a question from Sora. We now have a new meaning for the word "friends". LOL. :lmao:

Loved the Tron sequence in KH2 . . . good 'ol Bruce. Sigh. Love his voice.

I love Kingdom Hearts.
I played the first one last year sometime and I am currently playing the second one. I am enjoying KH2 but not as much for some reason.

I have a Heartless shirt and wore it to DHS, and some of the streetmosphere characters knew what it was and used it to start making fun of me :-)

Basically calling out to everyone on the street "OH NO, he has no heart, he is a heartless where is Sora?"

I really enjoyed the first Kingdom Hearts, but never got the second, although I was curious to see what happened to Mickey....

I think the thing that bugs me is when they try to pass off things like "Chicken Little" as a Disney classic, and lump it with all these other great movies. That's why I loved the first one, but I feel like they may have used up their best ammo there.

I think both games have great things to offer. If you're looking for a game that has a little more of an emotional story, definitely go with the first one. If you're looking for some fun and quirky usage of Disney characters, go with the second.

1st
-Slightly better, more involved story
-Better music
-More challenging
-Tons of optional hidden items, boss fights, etc.
-A more "fullfilling" ending

2nd
-More user-friendly controls/camera
-Has a more cartoony feel to it
-A slightly confusing story

(Those are just my opinions.)

I<3Evil Queen, I've never seen those shirts before. If you have a picture of you in it, feel free to show us. :yay:

I knew a kid in my school who called in sick noting that his good friend Aeris had died... lol

I play EverCrack! Next time your DP is on, have them /join serverwide.gay:gay It's the global gay chat channel! Not many people know about it, but we're a fun crowd :thumbsup2

On topic though, I dont have any Playstation systems so I havent played the main KH games. I did download "Chain of Memories" for the Gaymeboy Advance, and it was fun!

I'll make sure I mention it to him...yeah, he's a big time gamer, he tries out the newest online RPG all the time, I think my bestfriend's boyfriend is looking forward to Spore when it comes out and Chip will probably pick that up to play with him (bestfriend/boyfriend live in NYC and we live in Syracuse).

Oh.....my gawd. LOL I know the infamous death scene was heartbreaking, but.........wow. I'm speechless. :lmao:

I'm afraid to even try EverCrack or WOW because I know I'd probably get hooked on them. :sad2:

I should probably try Chain of Memories again. I only played for about an hour and didn't care for it.......but I think it's just because it was nothing like the Playstation games. I can be judgemental and bitter sometimes. :rolleyes1
