Kingdom Hearts characters

I've heard that characters from the Kingdom Hearts video game are in WDW.
They include Goofy, Donald, and the kid,Sora. Is this true? And what park?
I want to know beacause I am a fan of the game and would like to take a shot with them.

I heard they were "added" this past summer but I'd love to hear a confirmation from the people here. I do have to say, I'm a huge fan of the series and have spent way too much on stuff imported from Japan because of it. My fiance` keeps telling me she wants a picture of the moment I see Sora, Kairi and/or Riku and I fall at their feet crying with happiness. HA-HA

Definitely one of the favorites in the house!!! Can not wait for Kingdon hearts 2 to come out which I hear is going to be in september from the video/game place!! as of know bought kingdom hearts chain of memories for the gameboys in the house, a little bit different, but still fun!!!! Please anyone. . . .my daughter keeps asking why we do not see Sora at disney because he is with donald and goofy in the game!!! And she is 6 which is sortof hard to explain. . . .

They were in the Time Keeper area at MNSSHP in early October.

We met Sora, along with Goofy and Donald in Kingdom Heart's gear, at the Halloween parties at Magic Kingdom. They were inside the entrance to Timekeeper, but I believe they were only there for those nights. I have not heard of them being out since. I did get a photo with Sora and his autograph, which was cool! He carried his key, too!

We have pictures of our kids with Sora, Goofy and Donald all in their Kingdom Hearts gear from the MNSSHP. This absolutely made my sons trip! I don't know if they are there any time besides that. I don't know if I can post the pics but will try.

I got Kingdom Hearts for Christmas. I am just in the begining stages, but the intro was so beautiful with those floors that looked like stained glass pieces. I would love to see the characters at WDW! Maggie

Hmm ... "Kingdom Hearts" ... how to describe.... well ... being how I've spent more money on KH merchandise then I did my Passat .. I'll give it a whirl for you.

Kingdom Hearts is the story of Sora, a 14-year-old boy whose world is shattered when a violent storm hits his island-paradise home, and he is separated from his two closest friends, Riku, a 15 year-old boy, and Kairi, a 14 year old girl. At the same time, there is turmoil in Disney castle. King Mickey is missing, and Court Wizard Donald and Captain Goofy set out to find him. On their travels they meet Sora on his own search for his lost friends. The three are told of ominous creatures known as the Heartless - beings without hearts derived from an unknown dimension and as it turns out, manipulated by Disney villains and the ones responsible for the devastating storm. Upon discovering the link between the Heartless, the storm and the disappearance of King Mickey, Sora, Donald and Goofy join forces and help familiar Disney heroes to save their worlds from the Heartless.

All of this, of course, occurs throughout time and worlds .. worlds from the Disney movies ... Aladdin, The Little Mermain, Winnie the Pooh, Hercules, Alice in Wonderland, Monstro (Pinocchio), The Nightmare Before Chrismas, Tarzan and Neverland. There are also some NEW worlds to explore as the storyline unfolds. This game is available only on the PS2.

This game leads into "Kingdom Hearts : Chain of Memories" for the Gameboy Advance. KH:CoM takes place the very second KH leaves off and is the bridge between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 (due to be released in the US Fall of 2005). Which will eventually lead to Kingdom Hearts 3 (not in production yet). It is unclear, at this time, if there will be another bridge game between KH2 and KH3.

If you type in "Kingdom Hearts" on Google, you'll get tens of thousands of results. If you type it in eBay, you'll get a lot of results, but mostly for the game (which you can get in any store for $19.95 as part of the Greatest Hits collection). You can also get some great items imported from Japan regarding KH ... lighters, pins, action figures, dolls, clothing, etc..

thank you!! five mins after i posted my question a commercial for KHCoM came on tv and i asked my 7.5 yo son if he knew what it was... he launched into a long explanation (diff't from yours LOL) and the most important part being that his friend ryan has it for his gameboy and how much ds wants it too! LOL?!

anyway, it's a bummer that the first one is only available for PS2 'cause we dont' have it... would it make sense to go right to the gameboy one (KHCoM) w/out background in the first?

You can play KH:CoM first .. but it wouldn't make much sense ...

It'd be kinda like watching The Lion King 2 then watching The Lion King ... you'd be missing a few key points. With Kh, you would most notably want to know what HAPPENED at the end of KH that made you start where you are and why you're doing what you're doing.

It's fun to play with Sora, Donald and Goofy in the game .. but if you don't know WHY they're together, you wouldn't be getting the full experience.
