I saw on another post the mention of some Vero beach Inn rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor having King size beds. Is this true?

If so, can they still accomodate 3 people with one on a cot? We have a 3yo DS and have an oceanview reserved for next week. I'm getting a little nervous about not having a sofa to lounge around on and am wondering if the King rooms have that as well.

Help, please...

Before I call the Vero front desk and make a fool of myself.

My parents had one on the 4th floor - it was a handicap garden view room. I believe that there are non handicapped rooms as well - but it had a sleeper sofa and chair as well. I wouldn't say it was larger than the rooms with 2 queens - just removing the one bed allows for a sitting area. They didn't mind the handicapped room (my father actually broke his toe staying there - he tripped over the step in from the balcony...) the bathroom had a shower and no cabinet under the sink...

Enjoy your stay no matter what beds you get! My kids are going with my parents in a few weeks. I was supposed to go and then I got a job...I haven't had a REAL job in a while and the 2 weeks vacation is going to kill me! I don't know when I'll get back to VB or Disneyworld!

There are a few odd rooms that are larger and set up differently. My understanding is they are mostly corner rooms and many sleep more than 4. You can't reserve them directly, but you can ask for them.

I put in a request for one of only 2 ocean view inn rooms with a King size bed. We''l see what happens.

Thanks for the info!

Those would be rooms 415 and 419. King bed at one end, sofa sleeper and a chair around a coffee table at the other end, and enough room to dance with your spouse in the space between. Very nice and spacious. We've had our request satisfied three times out of our seven visits to VB.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

I'd really like the extra space, but I can accept the 2 Q beds if that's what we end up with...

I didn't know there was any other option until a couple days ago.

DH and I went last June, and ended up with a corner room. It was wonderful! When you walk into the room, you are in a large seating area with the kitchenette to your left. When you round the corner, you enter the typical inn room - we had 2 queen beds. The extra seating area in the front was nice, though!! It made the whole room seem much more spacious! :sunny:

Ralph&Pam, do you remember if those rooms had connecting doors and where they are located? It would be really sweet if we had one of those connecting to a regular 2Q room! But I'm not going to bother to ask. If we get connecting rooms that will be enough!

No, they do not have connecting doors to anywhere. They are located in "mirror-image" position at the left and right ends of the central section of the Inn building, where the building is set back from the rest of the structure. They overlook the croquet lawn. Alternatively, you can think of them as being located over the outside edges of the Green Cabin Room.

OK. I got it!! We were in 412 a bit farther down the hall. While I was there I did a rough sketch of the floor plan on the door (no camera!). I was thinking that was the location. Thanks for ending my curiosity.
