King beds at POFQ, views?

Anyone know what views the King Bed rooms have at French Quarter? I'm willing to pay more not to have a parking lot view. Thanks!

We stayed one the third floor, bldg 5 (very close to food court). We had a corner room, and it was very wooded, so no views of the parking lot. We were also steps away from the bus stop, but couldn't hear buses in our room. Very nice and comfortable. And quiet!

When I called to book my room at POFQ, I was in the same position.

The options they gave me were:
Standard
Water View
King with varied view

Water view and King with varied view were the same price. I asked if it was possible to reserve King with water view and was told it's not. I gather from this that you might be lucky, might not wehn booking a king room, so if the view is that important, you're better off booking water view and living with the smaller two beds instead of a sofa.

Maybe you'll hear something different, but that's what I was told last week.

Well, shoot.

I wanted to book POFQ for our first night for a tenth anniversary trip. (We'll be moving to BCV the next day.) POFQ has sentimental value to us as it is the first place we ever vacationed together.

I want the king, two beds just doesn't seem as romantic , but I HATE seeing the parking lot. To em in these type of rooms with no balcony to sit out on view is of little importance - water, garden doesn't matter to me, but seeing the parking lot as I walk to my room ruins the theming for me.

Well, I guess we could book King and then request a garden or water view, make them note it is our anniversary. maybe that will help the odds.

So the King does have a sofa, then?
