King Beds at AKL?

Hi! My husband and I are thinking about staying at AKL. We prefer a king bedded room, non-accessible, with tub/shower combo with a separate vanity area. Does AKL offer this type of room? Please forgive me if this question has been asked already. I am just so excited! Oh, we can't decide if we should get a pool view or savanna view. Do you think that they have more king bedded rooms with a savanna view than pool view?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.:D

Hi,

The one time that we were given a king bed room at the AKL it was accessible. No tub. I think that the majority of the king bed rooms at he AKL are considered accessible.

The do have king bed accessable rooms with a tub. We had one last year.

According to the description on All Ears, there are 79 King bed rooms:

There are 79 king bed rooms, and there are 65 accessible rooms with king bed, roll-in shower, accessible seat for toilet, TDD kit and ADA guide maps.

Floors 1-2-3-4 have Standard Rooms with one of 3 views: Standard, Pool or Savannah. The rooms can be configured with 2 Queens; 1 Queen and Bunk Beds; King Bed with Daybed; Handicapped Accessible with King Bed and Daybed.

Floors 5-6 have Deluxe rooms. Concierge rooms are the same as the Deluxe rooms. These have one of 2 views: Pool or Savannah. The rooms can be configured as either 2 Queens; 1 Queen and Bunk Beds; King Bed and Daybed; Handicapped Accessible with King Bed and Daybed. The 6th Floor is exclusively Concierge.

my dh and i stayed there last year and requested a king size bed because the other option was 2 full beds and when we got there they had none available with the savanah view which is what we had booked so i called the manager and when we got back that night they had switched us to a king bed with the savanah view which was awesome definitly worth the extra money
have a great trip

The AKL does not have full beds. They have queens. Who told you they had full size beds also known as doubles? Did your king bed room have a tub?

We had a 5th floor King room with a tub. This seemed much more spacious than the next time when we had 2 Queens (also 5th floor).

Shoes99,

Did your king bedded accessible room with a tub have a separate vanity?

Thanks!
