Has anyone ever requested a king bed at ASM and not received it? And, if you request a king bed room, how many people can be "legally" in the room? Is it still 4 like a "double bed" room? We're thinking of having the kids sleep on an air mattress. And yes, I do realize requesting a King is not GUARANTEED.

A king room is for 2 people max.. they will not allow you to even have a child in the room with you from what I have read on these boards..
Good Luck

the king beds are few... and there is a limit of 2 people in a king room. about 1/2 the accessible rooms are king beds.

I believe you can have two adults and one child in a king bed room ONLY if the child is under the age of three and sleeps in a pack and play.

As far as requesting a king bed room and not getting it, that happens to us all the time. I still request it but realize that it's a hard thing to get. We don't really have any need for a king bed except that is what we are used to at home. And if we get two beds, each of us will take one.

I have been successful at off property places with getting a king bed but when I make the reservation, there are two different room categories so I am specifically reserving a king bed room. At Disney, it's just a request.
