Funny - I was just thinkini I ought to post an update now (so Cool Beans can read it!!) because it has been 4 months since I bought my Kindle.

I LOVE IT!!! Of all the electronic devices I have ever had, it is by far my favorite. I have read more in the last 4 months than I have in the last 4 years - I am averaging a book every week and I read the New York Times every day.

I originally bought the Kindle for two reasons. I shop for books at Barnes & Noble on impulse, and I buy only hardbacks usually. I was tired of spending so much money on a book I read once and then had to store. I was also running out of room. Kindle solves both problems for me. Bestsellers are usually 9.99 - cheaper than the hardback price I was paying - and I don't have to store the book - it is delivered wirelessly in about a minute to my Kindle. It is always there - I can reread it any time I want - or I can move it back to Amazon and they will store my digital copy so I have room to download other titles. the Kindle itself will hold about 200 books but SD cards are available to add several thousand more titles.

OK, must stop now - my children have learned to roll their eyes and move away from me in public whenever someone says, "What's that thing you have?"
