Kindle Whispersync for Voice

Just got my wonderful Kindle Paperwhite (thank you, DH), and I already use Audible for audiobooks (great for car rides and the gym). How do I use Whispersync for Voice?

Do I need to buy the Kindle book first, then use Audible on my IPhone? If so, exactly how do I sync those titles up on each device?

I know the Paperwhite has no audio, but I thought you can switch between the paperwhite and the Amazon Audible app on the Iphone, Ipad, etc..which I have and use. I am just not sure how to do that.

Amazon says you can go between reading and listening and it will save your place either way.

It is supposed to work between a Kindle Device and then an Audible App but I've never played around with it much. They have a list of free books that you can try it out without spending money. I think you click on the Kindle Book to buy it first and then you choose Buy at Audible.com on the next page to add the narration.

That is correct. Any Kindle device or Reader application will sync with Audible apps on iPhone/iPad, Android, and the latest Kindle Fire tablets. You need to own both products and have downloaded wach to its respective device.
