I was looking at getting an e-reader. Could not decided between the Kindle and the Sony. Then a sales person suggested that I get an ipod touch and add the Kindle app. I have the best of both worlds a mp3 player and a book reader plus everything thats goes along with it. Its a other option for everyone.

I would go with the ipod toutch it is like 100ish cheaper any way right?

I have the Kindle app on my iPhone and I love it. I love to read but never have the time lately. Now I can read while I am waiting in line at the parks, doctor, etc. It is great. I do wish I had a larger screen but am enjoying it on my phone.

I can only read so long on the iPhone. The Kindle is much easier on the eyes and the batteries will last much longer.

I love my Touch but I would not use it to read on all the time.

I just finished reading "New Moon" from the Twilight series on the Kindle app on my iPhone. It was convenient for when I was waiting in line at the DMV, but it was way too small. I can't curl up with an iPod. It just doesn't work. Convenient for short term, not a long term solution to the problem. Oh, and I started my Christmas list right after I finished reading: a real Kindle. I picked up the next book in the series. At 640 pages it's hard to curl up with too.

LOVE Twilight! Just had to say! Enjoy Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I want a Kindle. Hopefully the price will come down for the holidays.

I think my Kindle will be delivered today :banana::banana:

I look forward to uploading some books today.

congrats on your Kindle..don't plan on getting anything done after you have it in your hands! It took me days to come up for air

I read a lot and I could not read on a Touch for long. It is great for short 5 minutes bursts for anything longer I would get a headache.

I love the Kindle app on iPhone, too...I don't find it difficult to read, and I can read in bed without disturbing the curmudgeon.

However, it sucks the life outta my battery.

I have the Touch, and use it for books all the time. It's nice to have a book or two in my pocket for those times when I'm stuck waiting, and also since I have to admit I like cheesy romance novels, it's really nice not having to broadcast my trashy fiction preferences for the world to see. All in all, I do enjoy reading books on it, but I also sometimes wonder if I wouldn't like a *real* Kindle more.
As far as reading ebooks on the Touch, to be honest, the Kindle app is my least favorite of the e-book apps that are available for the iPhone/iTouch. I much prefer E-reader or Stanza.

I am reading my first book on using the Kindle App on my Ipod Touch, I find it easy to read. You can change the type size to make the font bigger or smaller to work best for you. As far as I can tell it can not read the book to you unless I am missing something on the menu. Yes, it does drain the battery but I usually only read a chapter or two a night. I love that I can take it out and read at anytime, while I am waiting on something or someone.
