remove someone's Kindle account from your Amazon account? DH just gifted me with a Kindle, I'm so excited! My siblings & I went together to buy my mom a kindle too, we'll give it to her tomorrow. I am dying to zap a book to my kindle (or 3 or 4), but I don't want them to also get put on my mom's kindle (dh bought them from Amazon at the same time). We would possibly like to share some books, but there are some we won't want to share (different tastes). My mom will also want to have her own account so she can order books from home, just wondering how to solve this. Any Kindle savvy person out there know how? TIA! Also, do you all have those thin clear plastic covers over your Kindle? Dh got me a leather cover to keep it safe, but I'm not sure if I need the plastic cover too.

Did you click that it was a gift in your shopping cart when you ordered it? This way it doesn't show up on your Amz account. If not, go to Amazon. On the far left where it says shop all departments, hover your mouse over the Kindle. Then click on "manage your kindle". Sign into your Amz account. You can deregister her kindle from your account.

Tell your mom to go to Amazon. On the far left where it says shop all departments, hover your mouse over the Kindle. Then click on "manage your kindle". Sign into your Amz account. It will prompt you to add the SN of your kindle to add it to your account.

The PP is right, also, when you're on Amazon.com and want to buy a book to your kindle (it'll have a name in your Amazon account) you specify what Kindle you want it delivered to so you can get books just sent to your kindle.
