I just checked the Amazon page, and Outlander is free on the Kindle today! I don't know how long it will last for, so get it while you can!

I have both Kindle and Nook apps on my iPhone and have built up quite a collection of freebies.

I still can't decide on the Kindle vs Nook to purchase, but when I do finally buy one, I'll have a bunch of books to add to it.

Added the kindle app to my touch and snagged the book! Now where do I go to find out what books are free for a limited time? For both kinks and nook- although I think we will have a kindle in the next few months

golfgal, I have been wondering the same thing about alerts for free books. It is currently #1 on the free book chart, so maybe that is where they saw it, but I wonder how one originally finds them?

I keep an eye on the Books on Knob blog. Karen's really good at listing the offers from all the retailers, not just Amazon so its relevant no matter what type of reading device you are using. She's a frequent poster over at MobileRead also.

If you're on Facebook, "like" Inkmesh. It lists all the new offerings in free books for a variety of e-readers.

Just googled - there is an Inkmesh website as well.

Nook/Sony and other ePub readers who want it ... Kobo Books has now listed it for free.

Since Kobo powers the Border's ebook store it is probably free there also although I haven't checked.
