I have a couple questions. I see that best buy is going to have the nook for $99 on black friday. Do you think this will be available online? Secondly has anyone seen anything that indicates there will be any deals on the kindle?
Thanks
But I've checked 4 different stores in the past week, trying to buy the $139 Kindle: 3 Targets and one Staples.
All were sold out. I was repeatedly told "they're flying off the shelves."
amazon is limiting customers to 3 Kindles apiece. From their site: "Due to strong customer demand, current quantity limit is 3 Kindle devices per customer."
So I can't imagine why they would offer a deal.
My advice is to order one from amazon BEFORE Black Friday. I ordered one yesterday and it shipped today.
Purely on device functionality... the Kindle is rated higher than the Nook. It earns top rankings at CNET, TopTenReviews.com, DigitalTrends.com, Wired, Laptop Magazine, PCMag.com.
Sharper screen. Better contrast. Faster page turns. Longer battery life. 3G web browsing all over the world. Has its own email address. Lighter. Smaller.

And I highly, highly doubt the Kindle will be on sale. They're already saying the international kindles are out of stock for 2-3 months. They're selling like mad, so there's not much incentive to offer a discount.
