usually the difference in price is wireless only vs. 3G and wireless. Does your mom have wireless internet? If not then you might want to make sure you get a 3G.

Best Buy (last week at $89.99) and Target (Friday and Saturday at $85) had the 3G with a keyboard at excellent prices. That's a discount of $50+. The 3G is free, and she can download books from anywhere. You could check around to see if anywhere has a Cyberspace Monday special.
