Kindergarten parents... So how'd they do?

Just wondering how all the new Kindergarten kids did with the start of school. My youngest started today, and had a BLAST! She couldn't wait to get there, had the time of her life once there, then didn't want to come home!!! LOL All is good! Wanted to share a few pictures as well! How'd your kids do?

great pics!! im not a parent, but the little boy i babysit for every ady starts kindergarten on tuesday--i pick him up every day so hes talking about how excited he is!

Zane started last week and really likes it. He's ready to go to school at 7:30 every morning--but it doesn't start til after 9! LOL! I love going through his backpack each night to see what he's brought home. I just can't believe he's really a "big kid" now!

My oldest DS started Kindergarten the last week in July (we are in a year round school system). He loves it! He rides the bus to school in the morning and I stopped following it after the first week. He is still excited to go every day so that is great!

Oh my gosh! Your daughter is a real cutie-pie! And I love her Tinkerbell backpack!

Our DD started her first day of college on Monday. We moved her into her dorm last Thursday. On the long, lonely drive home DH said with tears in his eyes and a lump in his throat.... "It seems like just yesterday that we took her to her first day kindergarten. This is just like that - only 10,000 times worse."

Our middle DD started Tuesday and was so excited! She woke up before her alarm went off and did not stop talking until we dropped her off at the door to her classroom. She went in, found her desk and dissmissed us! She loves it!

My twins started Kindergarten last week! I can't believe how big they are!! They are really enjoying it.

My dd has the same Tinkerbell backpack. I love it.

My Cammi started on the 19th of Aug. She loves it!

Much like Rebecca, she just can't wait to get there everyday. The tough part is that she is in afternoon kd so school doesn't even start until 1:00.

My dd started pre-k on Aug. 16 and loves it as well. She is going to the same daycare center where she's been since she was a year old, so she already had friends and knew her teacher, which makes it easier too. We have a lottery funded free pre-k program in our state, so there are several new children in her class as well. When we went for her open house the day before she started, all the other kids were shy and clinging to their parents, Kirstin was in the middle of the room dancing and singing all by herself . She's having a great time, but I'm sure it will be harder next year when she starts kidnergarten at a different school.

My son's first day was today too. I was teary eyed putting him on the bus this morning. I'm thankful that his school only has kindergarten in it and that there are no "big" kids on the bus.

He came off the bus with a big smile I think his favorite part was carrying the lunch tray and buying chocolate milk LOL

My dd had kindergarten open house yesterday...they did the screening also. Then we got to ride the bus with her! Her actual first day is next Tues. I'll be one of those crying moms...this is my baby! *sniff*!!! BTW, the pictures of your dd are adorable!!!!!!!!

Holly, your kids are pretty! My daughter started Kindergarten last week Tuesday. She did great! She wasn't too sad leaving her Mommy behind, but I was. I did miss her a lot for the first week, but I think I am doing a little better now.

My son is doing great too. He is in 2nd grade. My my... time go by so fast!

Avery starts pre-school next Thursday. During the open house she walked right in and started playing. Not shy at all. I don't think she will miss me too much.

My DD started today...only a half-day. She was up and ready to go..her Dad & I were in front of the house with her waiting for the bus. No hugs...no kisses...just onto the bus. Little Miss Independent!

I had a real cute dress picked out for her to wear today but she refused. Went up in her room and came down in purple shorts and a pink Sponge Bob shirt! At least she wore her new princesses light-up sneakers.

Now they have 4 days off and then back to school routine!

HollyJoy, my daughter started 1 week ago and LOVES it! She was so excited! She wanted to go to school last Sat and Sun! I was in tears, but not her! She was ready to go.

A little side note.... My daughter wore the EXACT and I mean EXACT same dress your daughter was wearing for her first day too! Also, my daughter Makenzie has the EXACT same backpack!
Boy do our girls have great taste!

My DD Victoria absoulty loves kindergarten. In her words "school is stupendous" (I can't even spell it)
Everyday when I pick her up from school I ask if she had a good day and is ready to go back tomorrow. The answer is always the same: (in an excited tone) Oh Yes Mommy, Yes!
I am sooooo relieved. I was so worried I would have to deal with tears. YIPPPPPEEEE!

Brandon started all- day kindergarten last Thursday. He absolutely loves it! It was kind of nerve wracking though. The bus picks him up in the AM, then takes him to the elementary school, since he goes to the Catholic school, he has to change buses there then they take him to his school. I followed the bus. He did well though, didn't even need the help of the teachers assigned to direct the kids. My baby is growing up.

My son started a month ago. He loves it, although he came home the first day in a huff because he didn't get to go to the bestest place in the school. He saw the library at the open house and LOVED IT. He's actually disappointed that school is closed in the morning!

Now, if I could only convince him to take the bus in the morning. Somehow, I got roped into driving him in every morning! I think it's because he loves my car, lol!

Congrats to all you K moms and your kids! I am a Kindergarten teacher and just finished my first week of school. All my kids did great!

We are off for the next 4 days for Labor Day, and then another 4 day week next week!

Keep up the good work parents and kiddos!
