Heck they will be getting my money for the next 40 plus years, how about a free
hat?

Geez, I guess enough is never enough...
offtheice said:Again , I never mentioned that was the main reason why I bought it. I was under the impression that when your giving disney 14,000 bucks along with the 1000 bucks of my hard earn money a yr on dues, they threw you bone..
PamOKW said:I'm not sure what bone you want them to throw? Start the transportation and the anniversary celebration earlier? Let you into Grad Nite (a carefully controlled event where chaperones, etc. are required)?
Don't worry about what you might be missing....there are always new things happening at WDW and chances are you're trips will "just miss" some of them. If you want to stay on top of what's planned and then set your trips up to match, stick around these boards and you'll get a feel for what's coming up and you can plan accordingly.
I'm sure you'll have a great trip...and take a look at what perks are offered and see if some of them are of interest to you.
Hmm, let's see. Free transfer & onsite transportation, sizable AP discount, discount and inclusion in the DDE program, free valet parking, admission discounts to DQ, PI, TL, BB, tour discounts, spa discounts, restaurant discounts, member ride previews, pool hopping, etc. Dude, that's more than a "bone", it's a side of beef!offtheice said:...I was under the impression that when your giving disney 14,000 bucks along with the 1000 bucks of my hard earn money a yr on dues, they threw you bone...

Thanks for the lesson. CAnt wait to read more from one ..manning said:I was disappointed in many things in life. Then one day I learned to roll with the punches. I realized I couldn't control everything and have everything.
You are experiencing something called "that's life".
Dean said:Sounds like you made assumptions that weren't true. My guess is there will be other surprises that are actually more important to you than the ones you quoted for the upcoming trip. Things like getting a room that does not meed your expectations/requests or having the time you can't get up for rent from another member. These are just a few of the reasons one should investigate before buying. Didn't you read all the legal paperwork before you bought, if you didn't you should have.
