It has been several weeks of ups and downs. I know things could be worse and others are worse off, guess I am just having a bit of a pity party for me! DSister is still in rehab for pneumonia and those embolisms, it took her 15 minutes for go down the hall in her wheelchair yesterday! I am thankful she is alive! Yesterday I went to ortho. again and that fall I took at work, 7 days before we left for Disney last Dec, is causing me to have more knee surgery! Argggg this is the 3rd one on this knee and I have lost count on right knee. He is thinking knee replacement in several years and I am only 40. Ugh. Just needed to whine a little I guess. Thanks for listening. Pixie dust to all.....

Hi

I'll join your 'pity party' all the way from Scotland, UK. I too am feeling down these days - I'm 43. My youngest child (8) suffers from 'stress' can you believe it and he gets alopecia 15 bald patches at the moment. I've lost the feeling in 5 toes at the moment and docs can't figure it out - going for scans etc so my mind is working major overtime! as to what they might or might not find. Panic is setting in.

good luck
I was having a pity party last night myself
you seem to have a few more difficulties than I do so I know I really don't have a reason to have a pity party
I'm sure you will find many who have worse difficulties than you
sometimes it just seems like the end of world
somehow we get through and become stronger

My best, winniedapooh, for both you and your sister. And RUSHBURY and luv2nascar, likewise with you both.  Nothing wrong guys from asking for a hug and telling of what is going on, it does help, I know too.

Can I join your pity party too? I've been feeling a bit down since my gall bladder surgery on Thursday.

I know that my surgery wasn't anything serious and things could be much worse but I've only had one friend who has called to see how I'm doing and if I needed anything. It seems my friends are so busy with their own lives that they've totally forgotten about me.

I know this seems so silly but sitting in the house all by myself is getting me down. My son stayed with Grammy the night of my surgery and is now staying at a friend's for the weekend. He "popped" in to visit with me for a few minutes and to pack his things to take to his buddy's house and that's it.

Ok, I just had to vent a little! Well wishes and hugs to all of you who are feeling down these days! :grouphug:

RUSHBURY I have a friend who suffers from the same affliction, she began when she was 12-sorry to say she is 43 now. {HUGS} to you for you and your son!

luv2nascar-----thanks for your kind thoughts and never discount your own feelings by thinking someone is worse off, that can often get us into trouble! I hope today is a better day for you!:D

nativetxn and Dan you guys are the coolest and nicest.....always a kind word to make others smile.....thanks!

hockeymom-----been there but you know what? a whole lot of us are thinking about you on this board and wishing you well, so even if you are feeling kind of down we are all thinking of you and wishing you well!

Pixie dust to all and DD-13 just brought me in some homemade chocolate chip cookies that I will share with all to help us with our pity party! Oh and here is some pixie dust too :wizard:

Winniedapooh,

How did you and your DD know that chocolate chip cookies are my favorite? Yummy!

Thanks for cheering me (and everyone else) up. I know that I can always come online, check the boards and know that I have friends here.::yes::
