Kind of site visit and backup?

We're trying to decide between the Sunset Point and Sea Breeze Point, and I was wondering, since these locations are at the resorts, when we go down in April, would we be able to see them just by going to the resort? Or would it be something someone would have to take you to see?

Also, if we did decide on an outside location, what are their backup locations? I saw someone that said theirs was the wedding pavilion, but I doubt that's the case everytime. Does anyone have any experience with anything like that? I don't want to pick a really nice outdoor location, then be stuck in some random room haha.

You can definitely just walk to those locations yourself. Not sure exactly what the backup locations are, but I'm sure its the resort ballroom... or the closest large room.

Are you getting tired of me answering your questions yet???;)

The only location you might need someone to show you for a visit would be the pavilion, the rest are just "sitting there" and you can more or less walk right up. Now, some of them (like SBP) are sometimes used for private functions, and if there's something like that going on or a wedding, you might want to come back.

Back-up locations vary on a number of things. The biggest thing is availability and I think proximity.

At SBP I've heard of the Attic being used, and I've also heard of ballrooms. Since I know it's just you and your DH, they might even be able to do it in one of the really nice suites or something.

At Sunset Pointe, I've heard of the King Kamehameha suite being a back-up, but I've also known of at least two brides who ended up at the pavilion (if another ceremony isn't going on).

There isn't really a "set" location...it depends on a lot of factors.

Hope that helps!

Ooh.. what's the attic?

and I'm assuming the suites are nice haha. I was looking at a post in another section here where people posted pictures of their rooms, and some of the suites were gorgeoussss.

From the Disney wedding website:

Disney's Boardwalk Resort is home of a location called "The Attic". You will feel like you stepped into Grandma's attic when you enter this location - decorated with over-stuffed chairs and couches, wicker furniture and pastel palettes. It is a comfortable and relaxing venue perfect for bridesmaid luncheons, farewell brunches and welcome receptions

And you can look at some photos HERE

It's a beautiful location...and a nice spot to be "moved" to, if need be!;)

And no, I'm not tired of answering your questions.:rotfl:

it's a good thing you're not sick of me yet, you've helped to put so many of my worries at ease :goodvibes sooo thanks for all the answers so far, and probably for the answers i'll be getting on other questions later haha

Hey, there, just poppin in to say that I remember having this issue with my wedding. I Loved SBP but my parents were worried that I'd end up needing a back up. When I asked about the back up, it was definitely a question of:

1. how many guests we had
2. what was available

Although, I should add that my planner told me that it would most probably be one of the partitioned rooms in the Yacht Club Convention Center.

I didn't want to risk the chance of getting something that I didn't really like, so I just decided to stick with the WP.

Me too :P haha

I know that when we go down in April, we're definitly going to be checking out those 2 sites, since it's something we can actually do.

As for the backup, it would only be the 2 of us, no guests, so I don't know if that would help with whatever is available. *fingers crossed*
