You guys always crack me up! (Dena and Marie teaming up - that's TROUBLE! :rolleyes1 )

I'm FINALLY feeling better. And I'm raring to go to work out again. I weighed myself Friday and I was still hanging under 120 - so that's wonderful (especially b/c TOM just arrived (sorry, TMI). Today I ate like crap and loved every minute of being able to taste things AND swallow without pain. :rotfl:

But tomorrow, it's back on track. I'm heading to bed VERY soon, and hope to get up early to walk on the treadmill. It's sad to me to feel this way, but I want to sort of not jump right back in to running. I want to give myself this week to "ease" back in and hopefully not send myself back into the depths of sickness again. But a good power walk is nothing to be ashamed of, so that's my plan for tomorrow morning. Then tomorrow night I'm going to do abs and the On Demand arm torture workout.

I'm not going to weigh myself until Thursday morning at home before I weigh in with Nancy at lunchtime on Thursday. At that point, I've done all I can do and it is what it is. I know that I've busted my butt this month, as much as my body and health has allowed. I know for sure that my weight is down from the last time I weighed in with her in early December...and I know that the excess baggage (physically & mentally) I was carrying is gone too. I'm feeling much better and looking positively towards a great 2007! :thumbsup2

One last thing...if you have any prayers to spare...please keep my friend Janine in your thoughts and prayers. She is on bedrest until her OB appt. this Thursday (after an ER episode this past Thursday) and we are thinking she'll be put on complete bedrest at that point. She is trying to be positive and knows she'll do whatever it takes to have a healthy baby. So good thoughts and pixie dust is much appreciated!! :love:

I completely agree with easing back into running. I would probably ease into over the next 10 days to 2 weeks. You really need to make sure you're 110%.
I'm gonna have to check out the On Demand workouts....they sound pretty cool.
Also, I'm glad things are going better for you now...I think we both had our share of crap in 2006....2007 is all about US!!!

Thanks, Marie for everything. I feel like I'm wimping out with not running at all, but like you said - I need to make sure I'm more than 100% healthy...or risk yet another setback. (not that I'm blaming running the little bit I have since Christmas for keeping me sick...but in a way it makes sense)

Here's how today actually panned out:

Nope, I didn't wake up & hit the treadmill. Woke up, saw there was snow outside, and even though it was warm inside the house - I climbed right back into my warm bed and caught another 1/2 hour of sleep! :faint:

bfast
3/4 cup ceral w/8oz skim milk

lunch
salad w/chicken & red wine vinegar
lite yogurt
1/2 cup strawberries

dinner
12 veggie chicken nuggets (not too bad - just REALLY small & REALLY spicy)
celery w/natural peanut butter

drinks
60 oz. water
16 oz. decaf unsweet green tea

OH, and have I mentioned that my house is girl scout cookie central??? UGH...I'm making myself wait until AFTER my weigh-in on Thursday to have any. I'm.......almost........there. :worried:

exercise
30 minute speed walk on treadmill
100 crunches
20 pushups
10 chair dips (can't think of a better name)

whew, I'm beat...how 'bout you? :confused3 :faint:

....one last note. Doesn't it seem WRONG that the Miss America pageant is on tv on a MONDAY, and it's only 1.5 hours long, and they'll crown the new winner at 9:30??? It's just not like the old days. :sad2:

I hear ya about being sleepy... It must be because of the weather... I call it my "hibernation mode".:laughing: The past few days, I have woken up and promptly wanted to go back to sleep. :faint:

Please don't worry too much about the running until you are sure that you are 100% better.:hug: You're still getting workouts in and you are eating super healthy.... You are doing great, Kim!:thumbsup2 The running will come....

I'm glad you are feeling better Kim. Don't feel bad at all about not running. If you don't let your body completely recover, you are going to get sick again - just not worth it. In any case, you are still getting in great workouts without the running and you are eating right track too. Thin Mints & Samoa's in the house???? That takes major willpower, sista! :worship: Good Luck at your WI Thursday. I'm sure you will do great!

Today was another day on my journey. I gotta say, though. Just knowing that I've gotten back down in weight and that my weigh in is getting closer...I am craving some REALLY bad food. Ugh.

Thanks also for the well wishes for Janine. If she's still not back to work on Friday (after her dr. appt on Thursday), then I'm going to bring her lunch on Friday. Anything she wants. :laughing:

Hey everybody! Today was good. No workout, but DH actually came home from work (close to) on time and we went out & ran errands (my sister actually volunteered to watch the kids). So we had some nice time to ourselves. The only downfall was that tomorrow is my weigh-in day with Nancy...so we couldn't do dinner out. I had an early dinner before we went out and he's eating now. HEre's how today went:

bfast
egg whites w/tomatoes

lunch

snack
sugar free tastycake

dinner
veggie burger w/ff cheese (no roll)
1 cup broccoli

Tomorrow, after the weigh in....I'm having a cheat day. I won't post here what I eat because I certainly don't wanna tempt anyone. But I've got it all planned out in my head!!! Then I'm going to be good until Sunday when we have a superbowl party and lots of good (bad) snacks!! GO BEARS!!! :cheer2:

Oh, and make sure you pee and take all your jewelry off before weighing. LOL! Just stupid things I used to do before weight watchers weigh-ins. Knowing there's no way they could have weighed a pound. It made me feel lighter. Oh yeah, and while you're at it exhale before getting on the scale. :laughing:

Well, isn't is a lovely February Thursday afternoon? :goodvibes yes, it's only 30 degrees and yes it's starting to snow. But isn't it lovely??

Nope, haven't completely lost it.....just had a GREAT weigh in!! :cool1:

Drum roll please...............

On my last weigh in with Nancy (Dec 7th), I was 122.5 on her scale.

Today....I was 118!!!!! :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

She said I haven't been that weight since MAY!! (sorry, I'm just so excited!)

Although, this is a double-edged sword for me.

It is fuel to keep me going with being good.....but it's also a little voice in my head that says.....you can eat now!! Just work out enough to maintain. (and you all know how well that worked for me this fall/winter so far :sad2: )

OK guys...if you see me slipping too much (I will have some treats during the week, but not binges hopefully *cough*after today*cough*) please get on my case!! Knock some sense in to me and don't let me make excuses!!! Deal?? :confused3
 
Hey all! Just a quick check-in tonight.

Today's been a good day. The only problem with being good for so long, is that I can't eat very much without getting STUFFED!! I guess that's a good thing, right? ;)

I did come home from work and work out. I didn't want to completely waste the day, since I was due to workout anyway.

I did 2 miles on the treadmill (speed walking) and then 100 crunches and 20 pushups - where I proceeded to kink my neck and that ended the workout session. :sad2:

Oh, and an update on Janine - she went to the doctor today and she is now officially out of work for the rest of her pregnancy. Her doctor warned her not to lay in bed all day long or else it will cause other problems...but to still limit herself to walking down to the mailbox and to the kitchen, things like that. Not much more than that. Thanks again for the prayers and pixie dust! :goodvibes

Let's hope that groundhog sees or doesnt' see what he's supposed to so that spring comes real soon!
