Kimonos is a bar with a sushi counter but it can also serve the food to your tables. I would say more of a casual dining type of place than a sit down conventional meal with laid tables. The sushi is good I've also tried some of the hot snacks but can't remember what they are called.
This also acts as a Karaoke Bar - which is good fun.
I had my first sushi at Kimonos Sept 01 while staying at the Swan. It was good & I would go back. also they have a sake sampler. They were very nice, explaining how to hold chopsticks & recommending things. Karaoke was going on too.
Can anyone who has tried here tell me whether you go up to sing at the front or whether they pass a microphone around the room? DH is worried about getting roped in.
Also is there any kid friendly food served up here?
You have to go up to the front and sing on a stage but that's only if you filled in a request slip with your name on it - otherwise your safe in the comfort of your table
