KIMBERLY, CLAY, and RUEBEN!(spoiler!)

I didn't watch the show last year, so always wondered what the hoopla was over Tamyra and her "great" voice being voted off. Well, after listening to her sing last night, I can see why she didn't win, that song was just plain awful the way it was done. Justin didn't impress me either.

Yeah, I have to agree with Miss Jasmine about Kim, she thought from the get-go that she was "all that". I'm sure they were kinda told to talk back to the judges this year (to make things a little more interesting), but that one clip they showed of her dissing the judges reminded me of why I never was crazy about her in the first place.

Does anyone feel she did not even act the least surprised that she was voted off? Heck others that went way before her cried when they left. Just looks to me like she had a pre-warning that she was off. Anyway, I would like to see Ruben win. Clay can sing, but again as someone said, a little over the top and something about him seems phoney sometimes to me too with all that facial stuff going on. I'm sure this show is set up to work the way the producers want it to go and we the public play along and think we are in charge. JMHO

Even if they limited the voting to one per phone number, or one per IP address it would be a lot more accurate even if some people could vote on 2 or three phone numbers or 2 or 3 IP address. It would elimate people voting 150 times and keep them voting under 10 times.

The final 2 are definitely the ones that deserve to be there. I am a huge Clay fan, but if Ruben wins, he will deserve it, and I will definitely be happy knowing that both will do well with their recording careers, should they choose to do so.

As for Kimberly, I thought she was good, but not consistant, like Clay or Ruben. I also didn't agree with the order that some contestants were voted off... I mean, why did Carmen get as far as she did, and Vanessa get voted off so soon?

I don't think that Kimberly was given a warning, I just think that she knew in her heart of hearts that Clay and Ruben out performed her on a more consistant basis, and when her name was announced, she wasn't surprised. Who knows how any of us would react in the same situation?

I am looking forward to the 3 shows next week, and hope that we will see lots of Clay and Ruben!

Oh, and as far as Tamyra... that song was terrible. I didn't watch last year, but I certainly hope she did better than that to get as far as she did! And Justin doing Unchained Melody (which I understand is on his new CD), right after that outstanding rendition by Clay the previous night... well, I kind of felt sorry for the guy. Of course, Clay and Justin have very different styles and voices.

Can't wait for next week!

and I think she did too.... the last few weeks her voice was not what it was in the beginning. However, Clays has been improving....Rueben too for that matter, but, my vote is for CLAY! Besides, the top 3 get record contracts anyway. I have a feeling Josh will be releasing a Country CD soon.

If you go on Ebay you can buy a Josh Gracin CD. Someone has burned his American Idol songs onto a CD and put a cover on it and I think it is going for about $20. Pretty amazing what some people will do to make a buck!!!

This is a little off topic, but I wanted to come to Tamyra's defense. I agree, her rendition of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' was not all that wonderful last night. However she has an incredible voice that was not showcased last night with that song. She did a rendition of 'A House is not a Home' last year which still gives me chills when I hear it. The biggest scandal last year was when Tamyra was voted out before Nikki. However Nikki had a huge fan base who could fill up the phone lines with calls for her and she pulled it off and made it to the top three. If you think the judges were surprised when Ruben was in the bottom three the other week, you should have seen them when Tamyra was voted off before Nikki.

Considering it is illegal to even file share music and burn it, I am shocked Ebay would allow the selling of bootleg copies of music on their webpage. It will be interesting to see how fast these auctions are pulled.
