We just got back and I was amazed by this stuff. I'll admit I hadn't read much about it since our kids are grown, but I was really worried it was going to be some cheesey thing they threw together on a shoestring to keep the kids entertained.
Then I'm sitting in the garden at the China pavillion when all of the sudden a Budda statue rises up out of the water with smoke and music and I was like . They actually put some imagineering into it and its a really cool attraction.
My sister and I plan to do as many missions as we can when we're there this spring. I LOVED the few I was able to do with my daughter last year! Lots of fun...
Do you think this would be a fun thing to do on the overly crowded days, like for instance NYE? When riding rides just doesn't seem to be a good option?
Yes! We just did Kim Possible again on our last trip in October. We love it, but then again my daughter is at that age (6). As long as you're willing to take some time from touring EPCOT it's quite fun. It does force you to go to some areas within each country that you probably wouldn't tke the time to see otherwise. As far as finding the stations, we've always picked up our Kimmunicator at the same spot. At the bridge just before crossing over to the France pavillion. It's on the right by the International Gateway. Hope this helps!

Ehh.. I'm not so sure. It depends on how many other people are playing.
We played on a popular day and a lot of the "surprises" were ruined by people who got there before we did, figured it, out and "made it happen"-- totally not their fault but it can make the game less exciting.
We've done KimPossible missions several times, and just did a couple of them perhaps two weeks ago, so it's still going strong.
One of the easiest places to sign up for this is inside either of the Innoventions buildings. You just hand over one park pass and you get a sort-of-FP for KimPossible (this will not affect your ability to get any other FP with that park pass with a time and a country to report to. You can sign up on your way into the park and then head up to the WS later to start your adventure.
I recommend Germany and Japan as missions we've especially enjoyed. And I agree with MrsDuck, if there are a lot of people actually playing missions in the same country as you, it can be a little less exciting. Now, if Epcot is just crowded but not necessarily with people doing KimPossible, then hey, it probably would be a great alternative activity to standing in a 120 minute long line for Soarin'.
We did it in Oct with our 6 and 7 year olds and it was ok. Our main problem is that our "phone" communicater thing kept freezing up on us, so we had a hard time getting all the clues and when we went back to the CM for help, he essentially turned it off and back on and gave it back to us, so we kept having problems with it. There were at least 3 or 4 other groups doing it around us and that also didn't make it as much fun, I really thought they should space it out. Also - the phone was very loud and there was no volume switch and my son (who is sensitive) was embarrased by the looks we got.
Having said all that, we liked the idea and did think we would probably give it one more try - but when the kids are happily telling everyone about their trip, Kim Possible never gets a mention.
I'm a little confused by something on this. Are you able to do all the countries at once if you're willing to take the time, or do you have to do one at a time?

You can keep your phone and keep doing the countries. If memory serves when you're done with one country you get to pick which one you want to do next so you can coordinate it with where you are.
