Hi, I know I have probably missed it somewhere but I am struggling to find the difference between the concierge and just the normal rooms other than a lounge which has free snacks in it?

Please can somebody help explain the differences? Also are you guaranteed a Savannah view with concierge room?

Thanks in advance everyone!!

We stayed concierge level at poly (non DVC) and the only difference was a concierge just for that floor, turndown service and the lounge.

You are guaranteed a poor view, either the roof top with the pool in the distance or the dead end savanna maybe with an animal or two with the roof eaves hanging down in your balcony. You don't get to pick which one.

Ability to book the Sunrise Safari. They recently allowed DVC members to book it even when not staying Club Level, but my understanding is that was a short-term DVC perk and it ended; you have to be staying Club Level again to book it.

I believe the Club Level Lounge also has wine and beer, but since I don't drink I didn't pay much attention.

The Club Level staff can make restaurant ADRs for you, but that's not really a great perk since most of us are capable of doing it ourselves.

When you get to the front of the hotel, if you tell a cast member with an iPad that you are staying Club Level, they take you upstairs to the Lounge to check in (assuming it is before a certain time at night). You can have a drink while you wait. Again, that's not really a great perk. My wait up there was actually longer than I normally wait at the front desk.

We loved AKL Club Level!

We got lucky and got a room at the 5th floor even if all consierge rooms are supposed to be on the 6th floor. We had an amazing view.

If you check in before 9.30 pm you get escorted to the lounge.
The daily roomservice was good, but they forgot the turndown.

The lounge was perfect for us. It was a simple breakfast, but we didn't need more. It was great to be able to grab a few sodas to have a the parks. We never were there midday, but teatime was simple with small scones and some treats.

Evening was best! There were wine and beer and appetizers that were sooo good. They are from Jiko and Boma.

After that there were some cordials and desserts.

We liked it very much, and will try to book it again!

asemaria-thanks, it is nice to read something positive

We stayed and had a view of that dead end savanna and there were always giraffes and other animals there in the evening and the view was awesome. Actually one of the feeding stations was right below the room so you always had activity in the evening.

DW and I have had three two night stays in AK-CL, with one more scheduled.
We find the food offerings to be enough for us for the day.
Breakfast in the morning - very good, take some back to your room for mid-morning/day snack.
Mid-morning to afternoon - just some cookies and drinks.
Mid-afternoon - Tea and scones.
Dinner time - Appertizers and beer/wine
After-dinner - Desserts and :drinking1 :drinking: drinks

We're hoping to do the concierge room next time we're at AKL, so this was extremely helpful!
