Killer cold going around??

Both DD and I just had the same thing. We are in Western PA. We are over the cough and sore throat but still dealing with runny noses and sneezing. DD had the fever part of it but I never got that. DH is now taking Zicam like a crazy person to avoid getting it! I agree that this one is BAD!

I got it. Turned into bronchitis and a sinus infection. I was also blessed with pinkeye, ear infections, cold sores and the stomach flu. I went to the Dr 4 times in 10 days. Gotta love the pregnancy immune system.

Ours also includes thick mucus drainage that gets caught right in the back of your throat and makes it feel like you're choking. You can't cough it up, and you can't get it to go back down. It just sits there until it literally gags you.

Our family has it here in Michigan. It started with my DD6 and she's been out of school for 4 days this week. Monday she stayed home because she said she wasn't feeling well and I took her temperature and she had 102. Tuesday she was fine with a runny nose, so she went to school. Tuesday night she was vomiting and her temps went up to 104. Her temps have been up and down for 5 days. Coughing a lot and vomiting phlegm.

I got sick on Wednesday along with my DD4 with high temps and coughing. The kids went to the dr. today and there weren't any infections, so we just have to wait it out. We'll go back if it lasts another week.

I hope we all get better soon. This stinks!

I have it right now in MA. Today is about day 5. DD17 is just starting with the achey all over feeling.

My ribs are ready to crack and I am exhausted from not sleeping due to the coughing. DH is ready to put a pillow over me so he can sleep!! LOL! J/k. Between coughing and the congestion I am just one big mess!!!

Nyquil and Delsym are helping just a wee bit. If it is not gone by Monday, I will call the dr. for something stronger!!!

I was doing until this time yesterday and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I took my 92 year-old Mom to her doctor yesterday and I went to mine today. We both have a bronchitis & were put on anti-biotics by our respective doctors. The symptom that gets to me is the harkin' up the loogies! eyuk!

We had that here between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is misearable. DH ended up with a sinus infection and bronchitis, I had a sinus infection, DS13 and DD13 both had nasty ear infections. We spent a lot of time at the Dr's office.

Not that you want to hear this but the cough lingers for a good 2-3 weeks after the worst if over.

Virginia Beach here and I have it again. I had it less than 2 months ago and finally got over it. I woke up yesterday and its back.

It's going around here too (central Iowa). One of the local tv stations did a story on it last night. I took dinner tonight to a friend who has it bad. Her DH is in Europe for 2 weeks and 2 of her 3 kids have it too.

My son is on day 11 and I'm on day 8. It SUCKS. My nose hurts so bad right now. At least I have my voice back.

DH and I both came home from Disney World with it. It really knocks you for a loop. We're both so tired -- it seems that no amount of sleep is enough. Of course, I had to go the store today and it seemed like every other person at Stop & Shop was sneezing/coughing. I guess it's making its way around Long Island.

DD21 has this and it sounds like DS15 is coming down with it. Also several people at work. We are in central VA
