For years as a single mother of 4 a trip to Disney was out of the question

. The kids did get to go to WDW with church groups while they were in High School, and since I had gone to DL back in 1964 I didn't think we would be able to go again. After my first grandchild was born (she was 3 1/2) we decided as a family to take that once in a lifetime vacation and spend a week at WDW. There were 6 adults and one child (about right for handling 3 year olds)

This trip was during low season and we drove cross country for a day and a half, stayed in a cheep hotel, ate breakfast in the room, took snaks into the park and ate fast food after we left in the evening, and had a great time

. We have been back 6 or 7 times since, and have been on 5
DCL cruises. Some times we take my granddaughters and some times not.
We continue to go because we have never felt uncomfortable with Disney, or been disapointed in the bang for the buck we received. Our trips are always planned at least 6 to 8 months out, some times as long as 2 years, but the wait is worth it. Now a days we fly and try to stay on property, more time at Disney and the other parks in the area (we try not to neglect them). Cruising has become a favarate with us as we get older, we get the best of both worlds visits to other countries and Disney you cant beat that with a stick.
In September we will be on the Wonder in Alaska, this will be adults only

. The girls made the mistake of saying they did not want to go to Alaska because it would be cold

. We didn't give them a chance to change their minds

, we booked for September when they would be back in school

. I will be bee booking another cruise while on board and we are already planning another trip to the world for 2015 with the girls.
The people I work with never ask me where we are going on our next vacation they only ask when we are going back to WDW or when our next cruise is scheduled. And druing the past 20 years several of them have also now taken to doing Dising. It is contagious.
