I know the majority of the animals are put in their "houses" every night but what does Disney do with the animals like the Gators, Hippos, Lions, etc, during a hurricane?

Do they have a spot to go within their enclosure or is there another procedure?

They will stay in their "houses" during the storm or other designated indoor safe spots. It is too difficult to move or evacuate animals and can often cause more deaths then just hunkering down. There were some reports today that I read about what zoos and aquariums do during hurricanes. Very interesting.

Took the Caring for Giants tour today and they will be putting all the animals in overnight building including Crocodiles and Flamingos.

Yes, I was wondering about this too! I saw a picture today of a zoo which had put all of their flamingos in the restroom!

And in case you didn't know, they use a different sound to call in the animals each night/day. It used to be just for the night but now, with the night safari, they swap them out so some come in for the day and some for night so
