Kidz Bop Cds?

Have you ever gotten one? I see them advertised on Nick a lot but this last time I heard them singing to "Rockstar" by Pink. If you listen to the words it is all about fighting her ex. Do they change the words of the song so it is more appropriate? Not that I want to buy them, I was just wondering!

We have several. My kids liked them a lot when they were little - before the days of Hannah Montana, the Jonas Brothers and HSM and Taylor Swift.

I haven't noticed terrible lyrics. Most of the ones my kids have are "oldies." I don't think my kids would get the meaning of any questionable lyrics, though.

Well, honestly, I heard the remake of "Time Warp" from Rocky Horror Picture Show that they did. They barely changed the lyrics

They do change lyrics if they aren't kid friendly. A few years ago one of the radio stations in my area spent a night making fun of the Kidz Bop CD's. They would play the original and then play the Kidz Bop version and a lot is changed.

Rockstar talks about "I wanna get in a fight, I'm gonna get in a fight!" over and over. I wonder how they could change it?

UGH! I bought one of the older Kidz Bop CD's when my former stepdaughters were little. I hated it. LOL I couldn't stand hearing good songs ruined and sung by annoying kids. With that said, my girls loved it.

I noticed on the newest one is "Hot n Cold" by Katy Perry. The not-so-friendly version of the word "witch" is in this song. How would they change that? That song isn't kid-appropriate (I enjoy it, but I'm a teen).

I don't want to buy them, I was just curious. I remember singing Rod Stewart's "If you want my body and you think I"m sexy" when I was about 3 (yeah that dates me). There are just some songs that I can't imaging would work on those CDs.
