I think DS had his first real "temper tantrum" last night and it was almost funny!
He was playing around in the kitchen when I was trying to make dinner. He was mostly staying out of my way on the other end of the room but then he decided to try to open the dishwasher, etc. and play right by my feet while I was cooking. I told him that he couldn't play there and of course he didn't listen to me so I asked DH to come get him and take him into the living room to play while I finished dinner.
As soon as DH rounded the corner and DS realized that he had come in there to take him away the crying started. DH tried to get DS to take his hand to lead him into the living room but DS wanted no part of that. He then proceeded to cry louder and flopped himself down on the kitchen floor face down just wailing.
What was so funny is that after about 10-15 seconds of this he stops crying a little and tries to peek up at us to see what we are doing about it!
I guess he was just testing our limits. DH scooped him up accompanied with more crying and told him that it wasn't going to work and took him into the living room to play.
I guess round one is a win for DH and I - who wants to bet that we see round two tonight?.
