Kids Suite - HRH v. Portofino

My family of 4 (2DDs, 8, 10) has decided to stay onsite this summer. I currently have a kids suite at the HRH booked for our 6 night stay, but am now wondering whether to switch to the Portofino. I liked the idea of having more space at the HRH (800 sq ft v. 650 sq ft.) and that the HRH suite seems to have a couch/chair sitting area but the Portofino does not. I also like that the HRH is closer to the parks. But my kids saw pictures of the kids suites at Portofino and have been lobbying hard to move to the Portofino ever since.

We have a family of 4, with 2DDs (8, 10). Has anyone stayed in a kids suite at either HRH or Portofino? What did you like/not like about it? Can anyone recommend one over the other?

Also, from the pictures I've found online, it looks like there's a door between the two rooms at Portofino, but not at the HRH. Is that right?

We've stayed in both. I think PBH remodeled recently a to Suess theme. Size wise and layout I preferred HRH's Kid Suites. PBH is quieter and like you said further.

If it were me I would stay put. Great room, great hotel and the kids will love the atmosphere and pool.

HRH and PBH kid suites both have a door separating the two rooms.

Thanks for all of your help. I'd be really disappointed if we got the room you were given with the bunk beds - it looks tiny, nothing like the photos they have on the website. I think we're going to stay put at the Hard Rock. I'll just cross my fingers that the kids suite we get will look as it does on the website.
