We did the 4 day Wonder in 2001, on the last night of the cruise my kids were in the "Discover the Wonder" show and were given Disney Wonder t-shirts. ( basically all the the kids were on stage for a grand finale. It was pretty cool.

Anyways, we're doing another cruise in 21 days ( wahooy) and was wondering if Disney still gives away the t-shirts?

Yes they get a Disney Cruise University ALumni Tshirt and a very nice graduation hat with mickey ears ( so nice we decided not to but golden ears while at DL because they seemed cheap in comparison!

thanks for the quick reply. Kids will be excited to hear that, especially DD 6.

DD11 only visited the club two short times, and didn't want to participate in the program, so we didn't kill all that time on it. When I went to turn in the pager the last night, I asked if she could have a shirt (because I'd read that on here). They gave her the shirt AND the Mickey ear mortarboard hat with not a question.

They changed the show last year. It is really cute & the picture presentation is much better too! :) Here is DS in his ears & shirt last cruise. Of course his ears are a little crooked but you can see that the D Sea U tshirt is like a regular college shirt.

The graduation ears are really nice. I was surprised. DD loved them. We watched Herbie Fully Loaded afterwards and during the graduation scene, she was so excited.

I am looking forward to our next cruise. I bought each of the kids a Grad Mickey from January's disneydirect.com sale. Instead of getting the diploma personalized by them, along with the fact that they wont print anything too Disney on it, I am going to scan one of the kid's navigators with the DSeaU emblem on it and make up a diploma of my own for each of them with the cruise date. I am hoping that all three will be awake for the Til We Meet Again so that they can get their picture taken with Captain Mickey, their stuffed grad Mickeys and their grad ears. :)

Lisa - On our cruise, there was a half-hour window after the "graduation" ceremony where you could get the kids pictures taken with Mickey and Minnie in their graduation uniforms. We missed it, since it was from 5:45 - 6:15 and we had the 5:45 seating.

That may have been new, but it wouldn't have worked for us anyway. It is too crazy picking them up from the club after the show & getting them changed for dinner at 6! :) I am going to ask the room host to put the Mickeys out when he turns down the beds while we are at dinner so they wouldn't have them yet.

Hi! I am 14 and am cruising on the Wonder in a week! I am sailing with my mom for the 6th time and we are also traveling with 5 other members of my family who it will be a first for! I am definitly going to encourage my little cousin who is 8, she is kind of stage fright, to participate in the show now that I have read more about the new one! I first went on my cruise when I was 9 and participated in "Discovery the Magic" Show on both ships 3 times (9,10,11) and still have all 3 shirts! It amazes me that I still even remember the song we did ( Now's the time to say goodbye...) and the sign language that goes along with it! Do they still do this song? Thanks! :)

No, they did the DSU alma mater, which was set to the Mickey Mouse Club music.

They do the sign language to the song at the end of the Til We Meet Again on the last night in the atrium.

On our cruise in October, the kids got shirts but none of them (we had 13 kids in our group) got the ears. Is this new?

If they got the white "I Discovered the Magic (or Wonder)" shirts, then no, the ears didn't go with them. If they got the grey DSeaU shirts the club may have run out. We cruised in December 2004.

Thanks. I know my boys will love the shirts! They are given out on the Magic too, right? Maybe someone else said that and I missed it.

We went on the cruise this past April and the kids all got t-shirts And Ears.
In fact, on the last day of school, our fifth graders (who are "moving up" to middle school) wore the Mickey Ears Graduation Cap during the day and on the "promenade" out to the school buses. It looked great and in such a large crowd it was easy to pick them out!

mine didnt want to participate either and they did give them shirts- no ears though
