We're thinking of booking four nights at the RPH in June with this package. We're two adults and DD8 and DD6. I've looked on the US site and gotten rates which look pretty good, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what exactly is included in the package. Maybe I'm just completely dense, :badpc: but I'm able to find a listing of the things included in the package but no details or links to what the listed items actually are. I was hoping you guys could explain some of these things to me or point me in the right direction for finding the information.

The Express Pass, complimentary on-site transportation and the 2-day get three free tickets + kids is self-explanatory. The two things that are throwing me are the "City Walk Party Pass" and the "Universal Meal Deal 4-days 2-parks".

What is a City Walk Party Pass?

Universal Meal Deal 4-Days, 2-Parks- What exactly is this deal? Is it for everybody in the family, or just the kids? At what locations is this plan accepted? Counter service only, or are full-serve restaurants included also?

For just over $1000 for a family of four this sounds like a really good deal, so I just want to know exactly what we would be getting.

Thanks.
Mary

Has anyone used this package? How did it work for you? Is the dining for adults also included?

Thanks.

I agree that it was impossible to find this info on the web, so I had to call!

There are three resort restaurants included on the plan: Trattoria at PBH, Islands at RPR, Kitchen at HRH.

Then several counter service places at the parks:
IOA: Circus McGurkus, Capt. America, Comic Strip Cafe
US: Louie's and Mel's

Here is a link from the main board with menus: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1011431

The woman I talked to didn't mention IFFF, but I would think it may be included since it's in the regular meal plan (and this plan seems to be the park meal plan plus the 3 resort restaurants).

According to her, my kids (also 8 and 6) can have unlimited meals at these restaurants. I think it's a really good deal, considering that we would be eating a lot of meals at the resort "family" restaurants anyway. We signed up for the deal and then just bought a "buy 2, get 5" ticket for our teenager (which also comes with a free kids ticket we can hopefully use at the next visit!) [edited to add: it's only the kids who are free, no adults included unfortunately]

I priced our trip several ways and this seemed like a really good deal to me.

I don't really know much about the party pass, but I believe it allows you to get into some of the nightclubs at CityWalk for free.

Thank you!

I've been scouring the website and was beginning to think I was just inept not being able to find any information. :rotfl2: Even if it's just the kids eating free, it's still a pretty good deal. Thanks again.

Depending on when in June that you are going, you may be able to do this even cheaper than that price. GA residents can get the same Florida resident rate discount for the room. Presently, the room rates are between $129 and $179 per night. When you buy two adult tickets, you also get two child tickets as well. The children's all you can eat meal deal is aroud $12/day (but won't include the on-site restaurants. When you go to US website and try to book a package, if you click on the meal deal link, it states that the meals are only at US and IOA - not any of the on-site restaurants). But I hear that they can only order off of the child's menu anyway, so their meal would be inexpensive if you paid out of pocket. Just another thought - I like to price my vacations both ways to find out what's cheaper!

Thank you! :thumbsup2 Thank you! :thumbsup2 Thank you! :thumbsup2
I had no idea that we could use the FL resident rate! Due to DH's work schedule, we decided to go Memorial Day weekend insted of in June and the on-line packages were a little pricy due to room availability. I called and got a FL resident rate for 4 nights at the RPR and purchased the "2 Day 2 Park Kids & 3 Days Free" tickets on-line. It saved us around $200 doing it this way instead of the package. The only thing we're missing is the "Kids Eat Free" and honestly my kids wouldn't eat $200 worth of counter-service food at the parks to make up the difference. :rotfl2:

I told DH we could count on the Dis! :lmao:

Thanks again!

You are most welcome! I'm glad things worked out. I'll be there in June, with family who live in GA. We'll be getting the AAA rate, while they will get the Florida discount rate.
