kids shows??? ugh!!

Okay. Has anyone else noticed that shows like Spongebob, has a bad influence on kids. I mean when my 7 year old brother goes around saying "Barnicles" to me thats just like cussing!! Anyone else have anything to say about this subject??

i have noticed the same thing not first hand but i get what your saying. they say it to be funny and substitute certain words without swearing. people dont need to add in these vulgar words to get their point across, we all can do just fine without them. i dont think kids are being effected positivley from these shows theres nothing to learn from them anymore. there was usually a morale or theme to the show like a story but they arent teaching anything helpful to them anymore

And if theres anything on Spongebob that you should worry about its that a sponge and a squirrel live under water, a crab has a whale for a daughter, and a snail meows.

i would indeed rather her barnicles then the real words but as i have stated before these kids are substituting them for the real word which makes it no difference if they use it in that context. The kids who know that they are replacing the world to make it look like they are swearing is not right they mines as well just swear because you know what they are trying to say

The last time I checked, barnicles wasn't a curse word.
Sure, it's still a substitute, but, as it's been said before, would you rather have children repeating words I'd get infractions for if I wrote them out?

Be thankful that there are kids out there who at least have the sense to use random words.

Heck, my friends use PG rated words.

It was on I was so happy I told my little brother this is what I watched when I was younger !
