My children are not allowed tp say Oh my God-when my daughter does slip and say it, she gets the same talk from me that she would if she was cursing.
I do say it sometimes, but was not allowed growing up, I just picked it up, I suppose.
Now with kids, I stop myself.
I don't mind hearing other adults/teens saying it, but when I hear little kids saying it, I don't like it.

. But I can't say God's name flippantly. And I have found that the more I am exposed to people using OMG as a common emotional expression, the more I feel tempted to use it myself

My grandmother used to say it all the time too and she was very religious. I've always used it a figure of speech and never heard of someone being offended by it till now. Oh well.
