For those who are interested....just checked my Harmony cruise and Royal is having a Kids Sail Free deal! I saved a bunch of money! Woohoo! A friend of mine had her European cruise on the brand new Symphony go from $4200 to $2400 for 4 (2A, 2C).

Hmm...excludes all the periods during which kids are out of school

Nope, not for me. We have a couple of days off for some teacher thing every November. We would have gone on Disney out of NYC (now THEY only sail out of NY when kids are IN school - oh and they never have KSF!!) but Disney had the horrible Bahamas/Port Canaveral itinerary. So quite happy to go on the Harmony.

How do you all like RCI for youngish kids (10, 7, 5yo or so)? We did the EBTA this year and we really enjoy cruising. Hubby and I cruised RCI way back when years ago for our honeymoon but haven't been back since.

Also, do they have 5 person rooms?

Unfortunately, for five people in a room you have to call them. You cannot reserve that online unless you do two separate state rooms.

My daughter is 8. We love RCI's Oasis class ships (have done Oasis & Allure, doing Harmony next year). They have several shows that are family friendly. The splash area/kids pool is great and they have 3 other family pools. Harmony has slides. They have rock climbing walls, flow rider, zip line, etc. We love that they have a full dinner buffet for nights we don't want to sit through a long dinner. Their specialty restaurants are excellent and kids are welcome. They have Madagascar characters/shows and even a chocolate breakfast with them. Right now RCI is the cruise line that fits our family best. (My daughter was 6 when we cruised on the Oasis and 7 when we cruised on the Allure. She LOVED the Oasis and asked if we could go on that ship again so we went on the sister ship, Allure!)

Thank you!!!

I can't wait until I'm retired and don't have to worry about getting the kids out of school so I can cruise more!

Our DD is so into mickey and the princesses, if we took her on a cruise that didnt offer those things.....................she wouldnt be very happy.

We will have to wait until she hits that 6-7 age range I guess to try something different.

Thanks for the heads up! I get Royal's emails but missed this one somehow... when are you cruising?
I tried to price it out and Kids Sail free does not want to come up for me... I must be choosing wrong dates/ships?

I didn't get an email either. I happened to be checking my cruise date for a possible upgrade and saw it them. We're cruising in Nov 2018, friend's is Sept 2018 so the deal likely does not apply to summer/holiday sailings.

Thanks KashasMom! I will look into it for sure. That price sounds amazing for Harmony, even if it's not summer or holiday!
