i was just wondering are kids strapped into anything or do i just cling onto her for dear life lol. someone asked me yesterday what will i do if ash starts trying to get off a ride and i was like:scared:

All the rides have either restraints or a bar that comes down across the lap.

I can't remember if Buzz has one or not.

The only two rides I can think of that don't have restraints on them are POTC and IASW.

Everything else has a bar, seatbelt or similar, although you'd still be wise to hang onto Ash if she's prone to trying to escape, as not all the bars will be tight against her as there is often one shared bar for everybody in the car.

i was thinking of that lol. she is quite a stubborn lil madam lol so it would take a firm grip to hold her. what about dumbo and orbitron they are my biggest worries. oh and the carosel she doesnt go on a horse what does she go on then? sorry for all the dumb questions

Dumbo and Orbitron both have little lap belts, although they're quite loose fitting if I remember rightly.

I believe there's a couple of coach type things on the carousel, or you could probably get away with sharing a horse if she's small?

There are carriages on the carousel - big enough to take 5 or 6 people.

Thats what i meant by a lap bar It makes sure you don't fall out.

But the pirates one doesn't stop you falling out (though you'd have to try hard to actually "fall" out.

The pirates (and small world) bars are just a little thing stuck on the top of back of the seats in front of you. They do not move over your lap in anyway whatsoever, meaning that if there's enough room to climb in, then there's enough room to climb out again. :) It's just there for holding onto during the pirates drops and when you bump into other boats - nothing more than that.

I'm sure there was a long lap bar over us on pirates otherwise i wouldn't of taken Kyra on it. I'll have a look next week.

There is no restraints on The Story Book Ride, POTC, IASW and the Disneyland Rail Road.

Basically we are going to have Kacee on his baby reigns all the time and hold on tightly to them in order to stop him falling off on any rides.

The carousel horses also have safety straps on, when we were there last Josh was 2 and happily rode around on the horses (the biggest ones on the outside). I obviously sat next to him with a fatherly hand close by in case he decided to get off but he never did.

With Dumbo you simply sit the small hyperactive child on the inside of the ride and they would need to climb over you to get out.

That's a great idea, you'll have a lot more peace of mind using them. :thumbsup2

There is definitely no lap bar on POTC :thumbsup2
