Kids Races Packet pick up

I shouldve known I had a feeling and should've stuck with it.

Does anyone know if you can pick up the kids race packets the morning of the race? My 4 and 6 yr old will be doing the 200m dash, and we won't be arriving at WDW until that morning when I will pick up my Relay packet. Packet pick-up opens at 10am and the races are at 11.

The e-mail said packet pick-up was Thursday and Friday. I understand picking up the day before for the marathon and half-marathon, but for kids races that happen later that morning? Seems like a ploy to try and get us to spend more money by booking a hotel for another night. i think the kids will enjoy it and it woudl be something for them to do that weekend, but i can't stay an extra night just for that.

For w&d this past weekend, they did offer morning-of pickup at the kids races. I emailed them just this week asking if they would also offer this for the kids races during princess weekend and they said yes, they just don't advertise it bcs they prefer folks pickup at the expo. I'd bet they are doing the same in Jan but you'd probably feel better if you emailed them to confirm. I just used the "contact us" link from the race website.

I'm not sure about marathon weekend, but for the Princess you could pick up there packets outside on the way to the track on the morning of their race. I had the same issue and it was no problem. Hope it is similar for the marathon!

Same here. We are arriving that morning; however, our children are registered for the Mickey Mile. I just e-mailed runDisney with the same question. I'll let you know their response.

Thanks everyone for your input. Will look forward to seeing what disney sayhs. I can see why marathon pick-up is not available the day-of, but not a kids 200m that starts at 11am

I'm sure it will be fine. I emailed last week about packet pickup the morning of the 5k and got a response saying it would be available. I'm sure the kids packets would be the same way.

"Yes, there will be same-day packet pickup for the Kids Races on January 6th. Just arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the race to give yourself some time to pick up the packet at the track and field complex."
