My husband and I are going to Disney for about a week. I am considering leaving our son at one of the kids programs for one afternoon or evening while we spend a few hours alone. Has anyone had any experience with any of the kids programs? How are these programs? Which is the best? I am afraid to use the in room care. I have done alot of work with abused children and would be nervous leaving him in a hotel room with a stranger. Oh- one final question. He will be one day shy of four years when we leave him-- can he still go? He is potty trained and has been for some time. We are staying at POR if this matters.

Hi. There are no afternoon hours at the resort kids' clubs. I think the earliest you can drop off is 4:30. I believe they are very strict about age, but I don't know if they will ask you for proof.

The best club is the Neverland Club at Polynesian. It is easily the biggest and seems to have the most stuff for the kids to do. It is also a buffet, so the kids have more choice about what they want to eat. My daughter is 6 and Neverland Club is one of her favorite things to do at WDW.

Is there a way to find out what activities are available at each resort club? And do you have to be staying at that resort to use their kids club? We say something on the travel channel about the Contemporary having some sort of cooking club thing for kids, my ds will be 6 and loves to bake. Is this their kids care program or something else? We will be staying at the WL anyone know what they offer? Thanks

The Adventures in Cooking program is at Grand Floridian. You leave the kids for about an hour and a half, I think. I don't believe there is any kids' club at Contemporary.

You don't have to be staying at the resort to use its Kids' Club. Th eones at WL, BC and AK are pretty much the same. They have Disney movies, a couple video games, lots of toys. THey do some drawing, maybe crafts with the kids. All 3 of those are much smaller than the Neverland Club.

Thanks! For some reason I thought it was the Contemporary  When I start planning the details of our trip I'll be sure to check that program at the Grand floridian :) :) :)

Look at the Pirate Cruise and Alice's Tea Party, as well. My daughter enjoyed the Cooking Adventure, but I think she had a better time at the others. All 3 are at GF.
