Has anyone used these programs before? I am interested in the one at the Contemporary Resort and was wondering how they were and are they worth it? What do they do when it's bedtime (they go up till 12:00 midnight) and what time do they serve dinner until?

Just a bunch of questions, thanks! Oh yeah and would you do this or the babysitting?

I can't answer specifics about the Contemporary, but we have used Neverland Club at the Poly for our DD who was 9 at the time. She loved it and hated to leave. I think most hours are from 5-12 (but not sure). I felt safe leaving DD to play, and since she is an only child, I wanted her to spend time with other kids, rather than by herself with a sitter. Maybe this will bump up and someone who had used the CR club can give more info.

Neverland Club is from 4-12, and there is no maximum stay, so basically, you could drop off your child at 4 and pick them up by midnight.

Last I heard at the Mickey Mouse Club, located in the Contemporary there was a max stay of 4 hours... it is quite a bit smaller than the Neverland Club, as well.

Most of the kids clubs are one or 2 rooms... Neverland Club is a whole building with tons of things to do.

Can I utilize the Neverland Club if I'm staying at the Contemporary?

thanks!

Yes, you may use the Never Land Club. We have never stayed in the Poly yet we have used the Never Land Club for years and years (two children's worth). It is a great kids' club.

We have used the Mouseketeer Club at the GF and Simba's at the AKL. My daughter likes Simba's the best (she actually begged to stay there during our last vacation since she had first experienced Simba's during a prior vacation). Also, we have used the in-room sitters while we stayed at the GF. Everything was great -- no worries at all (outside of the usual parental-type of everyday worries that I can never seem to escape!).

Thanks guys, now one more question, lol.

How far in advance can I make a reservation? I think I am going to check out both clubs and see which one my ds's prefer and let them make the decision.

We have used the Sandcastle Club at the Y/B, the Harbour Club at the Boardwalk and the Neverland Club at the Polynesian. My kids never want to leave! We usually don't keep them there past their bedtime (they go to bed so late!) but I have seen other kids sleeping when we go to pick them up. They usually put on a movie around 8 or 9pm to help the kids wind down and feed them between 5 and 7pm. I would suggest using the kid's club nearest where you're going to be that way they won't have to be there as long, not that they'd mind! At least you'll have peace of mind.

LoriZH, that's a good question. Too bad I don't have the answer. I think you can book the kids' club at least 60 days in advance.

I think it's 90 days in advance and you have to use a credit card. There is a penalty if you are a no show.

Our kids have been to all the clubs except GF and BW. They loved them all. While the club at the Contemporary is smaller and less popular than the rest, our kids once had a CM and the whole club to themselves, they loved it.
