If you let your kids play in the fountains at Toontown, Epcot, or wherever else there are fountains, do you put the kids in their bathing suits or just let them go in their clothes? Do you bring swim shoes or are they allowed to go barefoot?

TIA

I brought bathing suits for them. (don't forget a plastic bag to put the wet suits in) They can go barefoot.

Mine left their clothes on and shoes off in June

Last year my ds played in one of those spray areas in his clothes...shoes & all. Big mistake, as the only other shoes I had packed him were those slip on addidas sandals for the pool. He has a hard time keeping them on his feet. We had dinner ressies for Emeril's Tchoup Chop that evening. He had to wear his wet shoes with like 3 or 4 pairs of socks. What a nightmare.

This year I have 2 extra pairs of shoes packed, plus his sandals (Teva this time), plus the sneakers he will wear on the way down. He should be all set.

When my family went when we were younger, we actually brought bathing suits and a plastic bag for wet clothes....and we had to take our shoes and socks off......I can't imagine having done it in full clothes and being so wet the rest of the day...

I always had a spare set of clothes (and the ziploc bag they were in) in the backpack, so I let dd run around in her clothes and barefeet.

I learned quickly to pack a bathing suit and extra shoes for these times it made for a less cranky child in the long run.

I let my girls wear 2-piece suits under their clothes. I brought dry undies and changed them after playing. That way when they see it and are ready to get wet they just take off the clothes and are already in there bathing suits.

Whenever we go to Epcot or Downtown Disney, I just have DS7 wear his suit that day. That was he already has it on. I bring a change of clothes for him to change into after.

We do bring his watershoes or flipflops. I prefer he not go barefooted.
