I called and got a very uninformed CM so i really got no EXACT answer, I thought I would ask here and see if anyone else asked and has the answer.

I want to do a split stay on our May visit. I want to do kids stay/play free for 3 nights but purchase 8 day tickets for my husband and I. I am hoping that the kids also get 8 day tickets to match ours. Or if not that we can add the 4days we want to the already in hand 4 day tickets. We have a pin code for 35% off the room and would like to use it for the other 5 nights of our vacation.

As I read the special it says minimum 3 night stay, but nothing about the tickets. I just want to make sure that we get the same for the kids as we purchse for us.

Any help? Much appreciated. =)

When I did the kids play free last year I was able to add days to their tickets when I added days to mine. So, it was about two or three dollars a day per person. I went ahead and set it that way up front when I booked the package. It made my email look a bit confusing... like I was staying more nights than I really was but it worked perfectly. Of course, that would probably only work if the kids play free was on the first part of your trip. I actually used my additional days at Disneyland in California (flew straight from DW to DLR so well within my 14 day window from initial use).

Hope that helps.

Yes we would be starting our reservation with the kids play free package. Actually the room only code does not start until the 2nd day of our vacation.

I really hope that this works out, we would save a bundle. =)

This isn't exactly the same situation, but when the Stay 4, Get 3 Free deal was out, adding days to tickets worked in a similar way. You paid for 4 nights of hotel and 4 days of tickets, and Disney added 3 more days of tickets for free. So, if you wanted 8 or 9 or 10 day tickets, you paid the difference between a 7 day ticket and the 8 or 9 or 10 days. So, my guess (and this is just an educated guess) would be that, at worst, you would have to pay the difference between whatever they offer for free and what you want. I don't know if they base the "what is free" on the adult ticket order or the number of nights/days booked in the deal, but if its the first option, 8 days of kids should be free, and if its the second, you would only pay to upgrade from 4 days to 8 days. I know that doesn't totally answer the question, but the upgrading process does absolutely work in retaining the free days if nothing else.

I would be happy with either of those options. Paying for the extra 4 days would be very minimal compared to another 4 day ticket!

I have a split stay in May too. We are staying at on site, then we are doing the cruise and back to Disney. We were able to do the kids play free on the first part of the stay, added enough ticket days for both stays then I have room only for the second stay.

AWESOME! i knew someone else would know!! Love disboards!!!!!!!!

I was just doing the math on this and it would save us over $200 if we did not add on any dining. If we add on dining we are saving less than $100 but then we have a 1 day ticket for each of us to use later that we can upgrade.

If I was to do the dining plan, so I have most of our trip paid for before we leave, does anyone know how long that ticket is good for if I don't use it? Also, are they transferable (I think no).
